Now available for auction is this 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet finished in Alpine White over a black leather interior. This U.S. spec 1990 example was purchased from its previous owner in California before making its way to Alberta, Canada in 2007 where it remains today with approximately 66k miles displayed on the odometer. Shown to be very well preserved while highlighting factory options including adjustable leather Comfort Seats and a locking rear differential, this 944 S2 offers a fantastic opportunity for any vintage Porsche enthusiast.
Reported to have always been garage kept by its current owner, the Alpine White finish on this 944 is said to be in great overall condition with some typical road-going wear on the front end and a small dent located in the center of the rear bumper. This 944 is said to be free of rust and there are no records of any accidents or repair work, although the seller has identified what appear to be some slight drip marks on the front hood (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). The cabriolet top is said to be in good condition and factory D90 wheels are retained which come dressed General G Max tires from 2019.
The black leather interior is said to be in very good condition with some minor signs of wear. Aside from the aftermarket Pioneer radio, the cabin retains its factory specifications. The air conditioning and power door locks are non-functional, cruise control is noted to accelerate by about 10 MPH when enabled and the fuel gauge is said to only measure between ¾ and ¼ fill. However, all other instruments and accessories are reported to be working properly. This 944 also showcases the following list of factory options:

@LongRunner -cam chain tensioning guide was done as soon as I got the car in the summer of 2007
-timing belts and water pump were done at 59,226 miles in Jun of 2008 by local Porsche dealer
- there was a small oil leak at the valve cover gasket. I have a new valve cover gasket and plug gaskets on order from Pelican Parts but they seem to be hung up in the mail. I'm hoping they arrive this week and they will be installed along with new spark plugs.
- The car doesn't have any drips or leave any stains on the floor of the garage.
- There is some oil on the bottom of the engine but I attribute this to changing the oil filter which is impossible to change without spilling a bunch of oil down the side of the engine (best to do it when the car has been sitting for a while)
- there is some oil at the rear of the engine which may indicate the rear seal is weeping. I tried a Luqui Moly oil last summer's oil change and it was a little thinner than the 20-50 spec'ed by Porsche which may have contributed to this. I've switched back to 20-50 and that is what is in the engine now. Again no dripping.
What month and year were the Timing Belt,Water Pump and Cam Chain Tensioner service done? Any Oil Leaks?

@Zeitlos 944's were manufactured at Neckarsulm which is reflected by the "N" in the VIN. This was the case up until 1991 when it was moved in house to Stuttgart and transitioned into the 968 production.
Correct me if I'm wrong. I believe 968 models were produced at Porsche Development Center Weissach. The quality, fit, and finish from Weissach production models, excellent - outstanding. Where were 944 models produced?
