An homage to the legendary Shelby Cobra 427, this Shell Valley Cobra replica was assembled under prior ownership and is registered as a 1990 kit car with a Florida title. It features a 427ci V8 engine with dual Holley carburetors, a front-mounted oil cooler, an aluminum radiator, and side-exit exhaust pipes as well as a Ford Toploader 4-speed manual transmission, a 9.0” rear end, four-wheel disc brakes, coilover suspension, racing harnesses, and 15” alloy wheels. Recently serviced and accompanied by photos documenting the original build process, this Cobra replica is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.

The replica MkIII Cobra 427 bodywork is made of fiberglass and comes finished in white with blue over-the-top racing stripes. Accessories include front and rear quick jack bumperettes, a driver’s side roll hoop and headrest pad, a hood scoop, fender vents, halogen headlamps, black side-exit exhaust pipes, a Le Mans-style fuel filler cap, chrome bullet-style mirrors, and chromed 15” alloy wheels with faux knock-off center caps. The car rides on BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 245/60 up front and 296/50 in the rear. The seller indicates some paint chips are present as well as cracks on the rear valence, corrosion on the fuel tank, and some damage to the right headlight trim. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin is lined with black carpet and matching leather upholstery covering the dashboard, door panels, and low-back bucket seats. Accessories include G-Force racing safety harnesses, a Cobra-emblazoned driver’s headrest pad, a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, a Hurst shifter, Stewart Warner analog gauges, and a fire extinguisher mounted between the seats. The seller notes the hydraulic pedal assembly was replaced in 2019 along with the installation of a custom aluminum driver’s floorboard.

This Cobra replica is equipped with a 427ci V8 that was reportedly bored .030” and features dual Holley carburetors, tubular headers, polished valve covers, an aluminum radiator with an electric cooling fan, and a front-mounted oil cooler. The rear wheels are driven through a Ford Toploader 4-speed manual transmission and a 9.0” rear end with 3.55:1 gearing. The chassis includes four-wheel disc brakes as well as a coilover suspension with adjustable QA1 units in the front. Upgraded front brake calipers and rotors are said to have been installed in 2019 along with brake cooling ducts and repacked wheel bearings. The brake system is said to have been bled in preparation for sale as well as the installation of a new battery, an oil change, and an engine compression test.

This sale will include some documentation, spare parts, build photos, and a clean Florida title.
