One of 674 examples delivered to the United States for the model year, this 1991 Porsche 964 Turbo comes finished in Black over a matching interior with optional supple leather seats. It was recently acquired by the seller from its second owner who had purchased the car as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from a Porsche dealer in 1999. Accompanied by extensive service history and showing approximately 57k miles on the odometer, this Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.
Compared to a 964 Carrera, the Turbo model features wider fenders, dual exhaust outlets, and a distinctive Tea Tray rear spoiler. This example comes finished in Black and rides on factory 17” Cup Design wheels dressed in newer Continental ExtremeContact tires. A rear quarter panel is said to have been refinished by a Porsche-approved repair center following a minor cosmetic incident. The seller also notes some signs of road-going wear to the front end, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a CARFAX showing damage reported in 2014.
The black full leather interior includes optional supple leather upholstery for the front and rear seats as well as an electrically operated sunroof, onboard computer, and automatic climate control. Accompanying invoices show the hood struts, decklid struts, door contact switches, glovebox light switch, door seal, and door rail to have been replaced by a Porsche dealer in 2016.
The 964 Turbo carried over the 3.3-liter turbocharged and intercooled flat-six engine from the outgoing 930 model, with revisions including a new intake and exhaust system, a larger turbocharger, and dual-mass flywheel. As much as 315 HP and 332 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed G50/52 manual transmission with a limited-slip differential. Maintenance records show a major 45k-mile service and valve adjustment completed by European Performance Engineering in 2016 as well as the replacement of the front brake pads, rotors, and brake fluid in 2022.
