This 1993 Aston Martin Virage Volante is one of 134 examples produced between 1992 and 1993 and was originally sold at Star Motor Cars in Houston, Texas. It remained with its original owner for 19 years before being acquired by a collector in Palm Springs, California in 2012 and subsequently sold to its most recent owner in Long Island, New York in 2018. Finished in Warwick Blue over a Fawn leather interior, it is powered by a 5.3-liter 32-valve V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. It comes equipped with disc brakes, a power-operated tan soft top, 17” alloy wheels, air conditioning, power accessories, a Sony audio system, and more. Showing under 30k miles on the odometer, this rare Virage is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.

Designed by John Heffernan and Ken Greenley, the Virage Volante was hand-assembled and features an aluminum body over a tubular steel frame. This example is finished in Warwick Blue and features headlights shared with the Audi 200 and taillights from the second-generation Volkswagen Scirocco. It has a power-operated tan soft top and rides on factory 17” cast-aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in Avon Turbospeed CR228-D tires bearing 2016 date codes. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin offers 8-way power-adjustable and heated seats upholstered in Fawn Connolly leather with Parchment piping, complemented by Burr Walnut trim and Wilton wool carpeting. Amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows, heated and power-adjustable side mirrors, and a Sony audio system. According to the CARFAX report, the air conditioning refrigerant was recharged during maintenance in October 2017. Minor surface wear is noted while all gauges and electronics are confirmed to be in proper working order.

Power comes from a hand-built and naturally aspirated 5.3-liter 32-valve aluminum V8 engine, which delivers a factory-rated 330 HP and 364 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Performance features include Weber-Marelli fuel injection, a heavy-duty external oil cooler, a dual stainless steel exhaust system, power-assisted rack and pinion steering, an independent front suspension, and an aluminum de Dion rear suspension. Additionally, vented front and solid rear disc brakes with ABS facilitate stopping power.

This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, and a clean title.

As we head into the final hour please reach out with any questions, again this Aston Martin is documented from new (as you can see from all the paperwork uploaded) it is super rare and a bargain from its original $259,000.00 sticker price when new.

@WGris Good Morning. I truly did not think this was a non-answer as you say. How's this...

The photo you mention has a minor scuff, the remainder of the Astons cosmetics as detailed in the photos is excellent with only the slightest stone stone chip and in keeping with an Aston of this vintage that has been used and cared for, but not abused. And, of course, it has never sustained any accident damage.

"Any leaks, drips or seepage at all?" As you can see from the detailed photos, the underside of engine, transmission and differential are exceptionally dry. The records show the Aston being maintained well. Again, this is a proper and rare Aston Virage Volante that has been cared for and well kept throughout its ownership to date. Any drips? Nothing that I would ever consider major from an Aston. All is in keeping with the fact that the engine, transmission and differential cases are aluminum and expand and contract, they will short minor what we call "sweat" from service to service intervals. That said, "everything" mechanical is commensurate with an Aston of this age and one that has been cared for and serviced properly and which is as ready as any Aston to be used and enjoyed in its next ownership.

Further this, this Aston runs and drives as it should and as it was meant from its inception and when delivered new, this can be seen from the road test video.

I have also offered for you to inspect to judge for yourself if interested in giving this Aston a new home. I am not attempting to evade any questions with regard to this Aston and its condition. I am not sure how familiar you are with Astons, if you would like to discuss and ask particular and specific questions, I would recommend giving me a call to discuss. I would also welcome a Facetime call where I can go through the exterior, panel for panel, the interior panel for panel as well as the engine compartment and underside.

I hope you find this as willing to answer and and all questions you may have suitably and properly.

I look forward to your next comment and/or speaking like the old days on the telephone.

    Strange non-answer X2 but GLWTA.

  • racer355 (seller) 1 week, 2 daysago

    @WGris I thought I did, sorry.

You asked...Pretty car in a lovely color! Any leaks, drips or even seepage at all? Is there as much road wear as photo #22 and other seem to show?

"It is a proper Aston with reasonable and honest patina-wear, but absolutely nothing major."

    There are no surprises. :)

Thanks for the reply and I’m sure it was unintentional but you didn’t answer either of my questions. Please advise and many thanks!

  • racer355 (seller) 1 week, 2 daysago

@WGris Limited to nothing. It is an excellent Aston Virage Volante and extremely rare. I am happy to put my and my companies reputation beside it. You are more than welcome to have the Aston inspected yourself or by many others in the business who can inspect on your behalf.

That said, I also welcome any and all questions you may have, it is a proper Aston with reasonable and honest patina-wear, but absolutely nothing major.
