After the widespread success of the 964 Carrera RS in the European market, 911 enthusiasts in the USA demanded a lightweight, no-frills 964 model of their own.  With the guidance of racing legend Vic Elford, Porsche set out to satisfy this demand by creating a track oriented, lightweight car based on the Carrera 2 which would be dubbed “RS America”.  This vehicle would serve as the perfect platform for a competitive racer and accordingly, many have been converted to full GT race cars.  Converted from stock in 2010, this highly built 1993 RS GT conversion was created by Rothsport's Racing Shop.  Featuring an endless list of racing modifications and showing 49,647 miles on the odometer, this all-business race car is being offered for auction in excellent, turn-key condition by its seller in Monterey, CA.

Cosmetically, the 911 is stated to be in excellent condition.  The exterior has been properly modified for precision racing with all of the essentials installed.

Notes from seller:

Serviced with Brad Penn Racing oil, 20/50 (Late Spring/Summer) 15/40 (Fall).  Both a drain & change are performed every other event/race.  System One oil filter changed every second or third race with brake cleaner reinstall.  104 racing fuel is all that this 964 has seen.

Stabil is added to the car if it remains un-driven for long periods of time.  Mobil Delvac 75/90 gear oil only and it needs a full gallon per change.  Two changes a year unless race, then every other weekend. Endless RF-650 brake fluid used.  The car weighs 2300 lbs, with fluids and fuel.

This is a turn-key, track ready, no expense spared, professionally built GT car that is appropriate for numerous race categories and competitions.

The sale will include a clean Carfax, Certificate of Authenticity, books, and keys.
