A creation by Osprey Custom Cars of Wilmington NC, this one-of-a-kind 1994 Land Rover Defender 90 underwent a complete body-off restoration including a new interior, upgraded LED lighting, a high-end sound system, heavy-duty running gear, and a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine borrowed from a Chevrolet Corvette. Completed in November of 2022 and issued a new title for an Osprey Custom Defender with less than 500 miles driven since, this Defender 90 is now being offered for auction out of Texas.
The body and frame were separated during the custom restoration and the chassis received a hot-dipped galvanization treatment. New body panels, glass, weatherstripping, and gaskets were installed, and the car was finished in the current Black PPG paint color. Accessories include a removable black soft top, an external roll cage, a front push bar with an integrated winch, a skid plate, Masai side steps, LED headlights and taillamps, LED-illuminated black anodized aluminum exterior door handles, and a black anodized aluminum bonnet with matching door and windscreen hinges. It rides on black-painted 16” Land Rover wheels dressed in Dick Cepek Trail Country EXP offroad tires.
The cabin received a new bulkhead with an upgraded modern-style dashboard along with all-new upholstery and carpeting. Accessories include a high-resolution 11” widescreen LCD instrument cluster, an Atoto and Rockford Fosgate infotainment system, dimmable LED ambient lighting, a modern gear selector, a Viper 2-way security and remote start system, and a custom sound system with a subwoofer.
This Defender 90 has been equipped with a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 crate engine rated at 435 HP and 445 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven through a 6-speed 6L80E automatic transmission with a heavy-duty LT230 transfer case. Other features include custom headers and dual performance exhaust, a Griffith aluminum radiator, dual PermaCool electric cooling fans, double cardan front and rear driveshafts, heavy-duty axles and CV joints, new transmission cooler lines, and stainless-steel lines for the brakes, oil cooler, and fuel system. The vehicle received a new 2022 title upon completion by Osprey Custom Cars and is accompanied by a 12-month factory warranty.

It is a Crate GM LS3 with catalytic converters. The transmission is the GM heavy-duty 6L80E - 6-speed automatic. This is the best in the world quality and is essentially a brand-new car. The paint is PPG Black base coat clear coat. The Interior is new. Custom digital gauge package as well. Total head turner and drives at 70 MPH without issues.”

Hello all - In the world of retromods, restored cars and frame off restored cars. This is the next level.
This is a BRAND NEW car. Every piece of this car is new. Sheet Metal, engine, transmission, interior etc is new. Crate LS3 - Crate 6 L80E Automatic. I would assume this would sell for $200K ++ at a Barrett Jackson.
This is one of the finest Defenders we have ever had the pleasure of owning and is SWTILL under warranty until December 2023 through Osprey Customs.
