We are pleased to present this 1994 Porsche 928 GTS finished in Grand Prix White over a grey leather interior. Representing the final evolutionary phase in the 928 lineage, the GTS model was introduced for the 1992 model year as Porsche’s ultimate grand touring sports car. This 1994 GTS was formerly owned by the president of the National 928 Owner’s Club and is said to be one of only 16 examples finished in Grand Prix White. Previously listed on PCARMARKET and now under new ownership showing less than 60k miles on the odometer, this GTS is said to remain in exemplary condition inside and out.
The rare Grand Prix White finish is stated to be in excellent condition, although a minor scratch is noted on the lower right portion of the front bumper. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. This late-build GTS model is recognizable by its flared wheel arches, painted rear spoiler, continuous rear light band and “Cup Design” outer mirrors. This 928 features protective side moldings and factory 17” Cup 2 wheels which were refinished in 2016 and come dressed in new Nitto 555 G2 tires.
The interior is upholstered in grey leather with custom suede accents added throughout the cabin. Factory options include dual air-conditioning, a power operated sunroof, supple leather front/rear seats and a Becker Porsche CR-1 radio with CD changer. The interior is said to be in fantastic shape with all gauges, electrical components and accessories remaining fully functional.
This GTS is equipped with a hearty 5.4 L V8 engine rated at 345 HP. Power is transferred to the rear wheels by way of a refined 4-speed automatic transmission. An extensive service was carried out in 2016 at 58,435 miles which included the following items:

- Water Pump Replacement
- All New V-Belts
- Cam Cover Seal Replacement
- New Steering Rack
- Engine Oil / Filter Change / Pollen Filter
- Coolant System Flush
- Power Steering Fluid Change

Another service was performed about 900 miles ago in 2019 which included a new deep cycle yellow top Optima battery, oil and filter changes, coolant and brake system flushes, and 4 new Nitto tires mounted and balanced. A PPI and engine oil analysis were also recently carried out which both yielded satisfactory results. This 928 is reported to be up to date on all due maintenance and in excellent running order.
This sale of this 928 will include a set of two keys, the original books and tools, service records, a spare tire and air compressor. If you are in the market for a stand-out Porsche 928, this Grand Prix White GTS is not to be overlooked.

This is a very nice example of a 928 GTS - the pinnacle of 928s. I've seen the car first hand and I've met the seller at a few of our local 928 beer nights. The seller is extremely passionate about cars and always sells them in better condition than he buys them. Good guy. The steering wheel and shift level appear to have been re-covered by Paul Champagne out of Texas. Top-notch work. I have a similar steering wheel in my '91 GT. LOVE IT!

Hello, and thank you for your questions.
I will request to have the actual PPI checklist page as it was performed by the Porsche technician added to the photos in the gallery. I apologize that it was not included. I had submitted it to PCAR and I did not notice it was omitted from the gallery.
To answer your question specifically there were 3 items that I addressed on the car subsequent to the PPI.
1. Radio volume not working (the radio antenna was not installed at the time of the PPI as it is removed while the car is under cover, simple to screw it on/off)
2. The driver’s side wheel bearing required minor adjustment (this was completed)
3. The hatch lock guide sleeve had deteriorated and required a new replacement (a new sleeve was ordered and installed)
Regarding availability of further maintenance history, disappointingly I have nothing further to offer than what is in the listing as that all I was given by the previous owner. However, if you want to see some further provenance, please check out this interesting article the “Autobahn Ambition - Winter 2009” that can be found online. It is my understanding that the article on “928 racer and collector” shows this actual white GTS with it’s former owner in some of the photos.

Regarding your question…. Does everything work? Absolutely. All switches, gauges, lights everything functions as they should. The air conditioning blows cold in both the front and rear unit.

Regarding the damage to the undertray pan in photo 100/135. This undertray is the actual OEM original. I find it amazing that this car still has the original OEM unit installed period. Many 928 owners remove these undertrays as they are constructed from a very fragile fiber reinforced plastic. Removing the undertray on a 928 I believe is a mistake and it serves multiple functions; protection from debris entering engine bay, air flow to assist in component and bay cooling and airflow / stability under the chassis. I received the car this way, and subsequently inspected the undertray for its integrity, fit, form and function and I opted not to either remove it, repair it, or replace it in order to keep the car original as possible. I included the photo in the gallery as my testament to my transparency of offering bidders insight as to any issues on the car.
The good news is that the undertrays are readily available from at least 4 sources of 928 parts vendors. The new design replacement undertrays are constructed from a more durable aluminum material rather than the OEM fiber reinforced plastic.

The new replacement aluminum underbelly pans are $300-$400 depending upon the vendor.

Thanks for the question. I asked the same thing myself when I saw the PPI. Apparently the dealers system is the problem. I have asked the Porsche dealer that did the PPI to prepare an explanation on their letterhead to put your point to rest.

Good morning PCAR community.
Up for bid is my exemplary late model 1994 928 GTS. I purchased this on PCAR in April of 2019 from a collector on Long Island, NY. This 928 GTS has been an absolute pleasure to drive and own. In Michigan, we only have a couple of 928 GTS’s and this car turns heads and prompts discussions wherever I drive it; from the Woodward dream cruise to local cars and coffee events. Not winter driven, it was under cover, on tender in my heated garage.
I am an active PCA-SEM member and a well-known participant in the local 928 Owners Club here in Michigan. Life’s shifting priorities has prompted my decision my decision to sell. The photos in the add are a mix that I have recently taken myself and others from the previous PCAR add when I purchased the GTS. The video clip montage was shot last week. The Porsche PPI was completed last week. When viewing this car in person, it is evident that this 928 GTS has been pampered by a string of 928 aficionados. I contributed to that lineage.
If you are a true Porschefile with high expectations and standards, a person with a clear understanding of car stewardship and its responsibilities, this GTS will not disappoint.
