This open-top 1995 Land Rover Defender 110 underwent extensive modifications by Riverhouse in the Netherlands before being imported to the U.S. The project included a custom blue/grey painted body and reupholstered chocolate leather interior along with new half doors, lifted suspension, Koni HD shock absorbers, rebuilt front and rear axles, gearbox, transfer case, and differentials, 16” Beadlock wheels, custom interior trims, Bluetooth-enabled full sound system with a subwoofer, and much more. It features a rebuilt 2.8-liter 300Tdi turbodiesel inline-four engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, dual-range transfer case, and locking center differential. Showing approximately 400 miles on the odometer since its complete restoration, this Defender is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This truck was refinished in blue/grey during its full restoration process and was equipped with new half doors, Spectre wheel arches, custom hinges with flip-down functionality, and a new fold-down windshield. Notable exterior features comprise LED headlights and taillights, North American-specification (NAS) rear lights and side steps, Spectre extended wheel arches, stainless steel rock sliders, a spare wheel carrier, hoops, hood, and a custom sun canvas. Additionally, the truck rides on black-finished 16” Beadlock wheels paired with a new set of 37” Maxxis Trepador M8060 tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The interior showcases custom chocolate leather upholstery crafted by Master Trimmers in Portugal, adorning the front bucket seats, second-row rear benches, steering wheel, dashboard, and door cards. The leather upholstery includes deviated stitching extending to the door panels, center console, and dashboard. Other accessories include LED lighting, custom gauges for battery voltage, coolant temperature, and fuel level, along with a custom GPS speedometer tracking system, speakers, and a subwoofer with Bluetooth phone connectivity. Additionally, teak wood adorns the entire vehicle floor and inward-facing rear benches. All gauges and electronics are fully operational without any warning light indications.
According to the seller, the 2.8-liter 300Tdi inline-four engine was remanufactured to precise factory standards, incorporating all-new genuine OEM cylinder head components, pistons, tappet assemblies, crankshaft, camshaft, engine bearings, turbocharger, injectors, injection pump, oil pump, seals, and gaskets. Additionally, the rebuild included a new starter motor, vacuum motor, fuel lines, fuel pump, fan belt, water pump, thermostat, a 100-amp alternator, and reconditioned flywheel, along with a new power steering pump, clutch assembly, and engine mounts. The seller notes the upgraded 2.8-liter iteration delivers a 20% increase in power over the standard 300Tdi engine. Furthermore, the truck received notable enhancements, including an aftermarket lifted suspension, LOF heavy-duty clutch, Koni heavy-duty shock absorbers on all four corners, and comprehensive rebuilding of the front and rear axles, gearbox, transfer box, and differentials.

@Mlane8416 - my Defender 110 Wolf had a full external roll cage bolted to the chassis. Do a little research on UK Land Rover forums and you can probably find a bolt on application. Also might look at UK dealers who specialize in ex- MOD sales.

Yes correct no A/C as the truck is open top it was kind of pointless adding it (can be added no problem).
Yes the bulkhead vents open and close, allowing lots of air pass through.
Yes it can cruise at highway speeds no problem. Lots more power and torque due to the 2.8 tuned engine compared to a standard 300TDI engine.

Nice vehicle! I did not see that they had AC on this vehicle! Is that correct? I see that they still have the air vents by the front windshield, are they still operational. Also, pictures show the startup. What is the cruising speed of the vehicle? Can it operate smoothly at speeds of 70mph?

So my thought would be that it is no problem to add a roll protection bar to anywhere on the vehicle.
A structural professional in this field would be able to advise better though.
My thought is that it’ll never be in that situation but more of a city cruiser but everyone is different.
It’s really a beautiful vehicle and the colours just complement each other very well.

Beautiful modifications. Based on the build, would it be possible from a structural perspective to add a roll bar for safety? Could one be tied into the frame in between the front and back passenger seats or behind the back passenger seats (is there room, would it structurally hold in a rollover, etc…Things you have to think about on curvy VT pothole ridden dirt roads).
