Marking the final generation of the air-cooled 911, the 993 made its debut in 1994 boasting numerous advancements over its predecessors.  Originally hailed as a technical and aesthetic revolution for the 911, Porsche claimed that the entire car had been designed from the ground up, only carrying 20% of its parts from past models.  Today these cars are coveted for their uncanny modern performance and visceral analog feel.  Offering a world class driving experience and open air cruising at the press of a button, this 2-owner 1995 993 Cabriolet was purchased by its second owner in 2004 and now bears just 72k carefully maintained miles.  Complete with a limited slip differential, 18” OZ wheels and an upgraded sound system, this stunning 993 Cab is now being offered for auction in superb, drivers-grade condition by a specialized dealer in New Jersey. 

Sporting a sinister look, this 993 is finished in Black Pearl Metallic and rides on aggressive 18" OZ Racing Alleggerita Wheels.  The paint is in excellent overall condition and appears to be all-original with the exception of the rear passenger quarter panel.  Some road rash is present on the hood and front bumper, as is typical on a car of this age.  The black cloth convertible top is clean and in great working order, having had its drive gear motor and cable replaced in 2016.  All-in-all, this Cabriolet is very well sorted and shows beautifully.

As a result of its factory upgraded rear suspension, the 993 offered a quieter and more comfortable ride than any previous 911 model.  This 993 has been nicely equipped with a full black leather interior.  The factory optioned 8-way power seats along with the rear seats have been appointed in pleated leather and showing slight signs of creasing.  A Kenwood Bluetooth/USB KDC-X494 head unit has been installed providing both high-end audio and modern convenience.  All trim pieces along with the carpeting are in great condition and all accessories and electrical systems are fully functional.  This 993’s interior has been very tastefully configured and truly hides its age.

Touting improvements in just about every department, the 993 featured a revolutionary alloy multi-link rear suspension, upgraded power steering, new dual-flow exhaust and larger brakes.  Power comes from a 3.6L flat-six engine which sends 270HP to the rear wheels by way of a refined 6-speed manual transmission.  Bone stock, this car accelerates from 0-60 in approximately five seconds and reaches top speeds of slightly over 170 mph.  This 993 has been equipped with the rare option of a limited slip differential at 40% lock.  All service records from 2005 to present are with the car, with the most recent being from July of 2019 which included a full oil and filter service, A/C repair and service, a new clutch slave and master cylinder, right rear lower control arm and a 4-wheel alignment.
