Exterior features include a factory aero kit and original 18” Turbo design wheels which come wrapped in Continental tires.  This is a truly well-presented example.

Inside, this Carrera 4S is appointed with a black leather interior that features power-operated supple leather seats.  As indicated by the seller, this interior remains in excellent shape with all electronics, gauges, and accessories fully functional.  Touting an original sticker price of just under $90k, this 993 is equipped with the following factory options.

  • Hi-Fi Sound Package (10 speakers)

This 993 C4S is powered by its original 3.6 L flat-six engine that puts out over 282 HP to all four wheels by way of a crisp 6-speed manual transmission.  The optional Motor Sound Package includes a special air box and exhaust system that further enhances this car’s already stellar engine note.  The seller has indicated that this car runs beautifully with no complications whatsoever.  Offered with a clean bill of health, this 993 is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.

Included in the sale of this exquisite 1996 Carrera 4S will be all original books and documentation, two sets of keys, a certificate of authenticity, and maintenance records.  Accompanied by a clean Carfax report as well as a clear title, this vehicle stands ready for prompt delivery to a new home.  Sharing the increased wheelbase and proportions of the Turbo while doling out immediate naturally aspirated power, the 993 Carrera 4S remains one of the most desirable air-cooled 911’s to date.

@tampabaysportscars Beautiful car and thanks for the explanation.
Wet sanding is done to flatten the clear (remove orange peel) After wetsanding you would not respray the clear. By doing so you would have to wet sand all over again. Not sure the explanation adds up for me. Guessing whoever wet sanded burned the clear, thus the respray? Interesting they would reclear 90% of the car and not the roof

@rak1161 there is a way to do it and preserve the resale value. Remove the deck lid and wrap it up, buy a second deck from a used parts dealer and install that one. Now when you go to sell the car it can be returned to stock without any issues or tampering.

  • tampabaysportscars (seller) 9 months, 1 weekago

Yes, but not sure it would make financial sense

I know the rear spoiler/deck lid is factory aero kit but do you know if it can be replaced with a standard 4S deck lid?

Saw this car 2 years ago at the Festival of Speed in St Petersburg, FL where it won a major prize
in the Air Cooled Division. I have a totally original 993 C4S with original paint, I would take this car over mine in a heart beat. It is absolutely stunning! The next custodian will be very proud and happy to own this car. GLWS.

Following the second picture there is explanation of what was.done. The owner did not like the orange peel and had the entire car wet sanded and clear coated other than the top.
There are invoices for the work done with the other service records.
    The car finish is beautiful.

Thanks for adding the paint meter readings. So most of the car has been resprayed, but not all of it? Original paint meters 3.5-5.5. Your readings show everything from 4.5 to 8.0 to 11.0 on a few panels. What was done paint wise to this car?
