Regarded as one of the most sought-after versions of the last air-cooled 911, the Porsche 993 Carrera 4S boasts a naturally aspirated flat-six engine, an all-wheel-drive system, and the wider bodywork of the Turbo model. This 1996 example comes finished in Polar Silver over a Marble Grey and Blue leather interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission, optional power-adjustable hardback Sport Seats, a sunroof, and more. Showing less than 28k miles on the odometer, this sought-after 993 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
Compared to the standard 993 Carrera, the 4S showcases the wider bodywork and bumpers of the 911 Turbo. This example is finished in Polar Silver (L92M) and rides on 18” 911 Turbo wheels featuring optional colored Porsche-crested center caps, wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza S-021 tires with ample tread remaining. A Turbo-style fixed rear spoiler has been added, and the original spoiler will accompany the sale along with a set of charcoal-finished HRE 305 wheels with tires dated 2020 and 2023. The seller notes minor paint chips beneath the PPF on the front end and a small nick on the right rear bumper from prior ownership. Detailed images and a clean CARFAX report are provided in the gallery.
The cabin presents Marble Grey/Blue (SF) leather upholstery and options include power-adjustable hardback Sport Seats, a sunroof, automatic speed control, and a Becker-Porsche CDR-210 radio. A MOMO Prototipo steering wheel is currently installed, with the factory steering wheel included in the sale. The reverse lamp switch and steering wheel hub adapter have also been replaced. All gauges and accessories are reported to function properly, apart from the mechanical spoiler error which temporarily illuminates due to the spoiler swap.
Powered by an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine, the C4S sends up to 282 HP and 250 lb.-ft. of torque to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A comprehensive service at 19,900 miles totaling approximately $7k included replacing the power steering, alternator, and A/C belts, performing an oil change with both filters, replacing spark plugs, pollen filter, and brake fluid, and installing new front axle boots, front rotors with associated hardware, and an ABS wiring harness with sensors. Additional maintenance at 17,000 miles included replacing the valve cover gaskets, selector shaft seal, and engine oil, along with a front left tie rod replacement and toe adjustment. Fabspeed exhaust tips have also been installed.
This sale will include a clean title, a set of HRE 305 wheels, KW V3 coilovers, the original rear spoiler, and the original steering wheel.

Offer in the amount of $135,000
Things have changed, the correction started with the long hoods…..
@Guyc2 I’m surprised too. I’m sure the bidders know what it’s really worth at this mileage and condition, anyone in the market for these has a good idea.
surprised how low best bid was. BAT had 1 sell with similar miles for 285, and an ocean blue for 230.

@ex10psi yes, the previous owner was a friend who owned it for approximately 3 years. During that time it was well taken cared of mechanically (as seen by the invoice work) and always garage kept. It was in Arizona during most the his time of ownership. Previous owner to him, it was owned by an older man in south Florida, he sadly passed shortly after selling to my friend, with 16k miles at the time. Before him I’m not sure on where it was with 1st owner. Hope that all makes sense. So in summary it spent majority of its time in Florida, with a few years in Arizona.
Any additional insight on history? I see in the carfax report most of its life has been FL, some maintenance records in AZ though and now its back to FL. Seller do you know more history and/or prev owners?
Bid in the amount of $100,000
@Vince993s I uploaded photos of the back of the seats.

@delanodp no problem, I wasn’t aware they were just called hardbacks. I’ll upload those photos here shortly.
@312Collection hardback seats...
@Vince993s Hey Vince, I appreciate the comment. What do you mean hardbacks? Is that a certain type of photo? I've had several in person inspections so far, they love the car and I'm told they would be bidding today. Typically I see all the action on most listings on last day of auctions. If you have any questions that have not already been answered, feel free to DM me or comment here. Thanks - Nick
Love the artistic photography, but where are the images of the very coveted hardbacks? What’s going on here? Only 2 bids with 8 hours to go? This car deserves more love, if I saw this sooner I would have driven to Naples for an in-person inspection.
@grantvs911 Hi Grant, thank you! It’s likely a clip that would hold it down, it pushes down without issue, it just doesn’t hold down in place. I noticed that when purchased from previous owner.
Hello. Gorgeous car!
Can you explain why the centre console has a gap at the bottom, just above the shifter and under the black centre switch plate? That is usually a tight fit. Best seen in photo 111.
Thank-you,
Grant

@lcammisa You’re welcome! I have two metal keys and one transponder.
Thanks for the undercarriage and paint meter pictures.
Does is have two keys?
@lcammisa Paint meter reading have been uploaded, the front fender and hood have been PPFed, that's why the readings are way higher.
@Msolei Paint meter reading have been uploaded, the front fender and hood have been PPFed, that's why the readings are way higher.
@312Collection Once again, thanks so very much for responding to this request and your attention to detail.

I've added photos of the HRE's installed, along with OEM mechanical spoiler, OEM steering wheel. I'm just waiting to get the car into my mechanic shop to do some suspension & engine shots. Paint meter arrives tomorrow so I'll have readings uploaded then.

@jsragman Of course, I’ll work on getting that posted
Pictures of included " HRE 305 wheels, KW V3 coilovers, the original rear spoiler, and the original steering wheel." please
@Msolei the service records I have are in the photos, near the bottom. As I’ve responded to another user, I’m working on the paint readings. I just ordered one and it should arrive this weekend. And I’ll have to look into a leak down test, its not something I’ve done.
Bid in the amount of $75,000
Any service records whatsoever, or stamped book? Would be great to reconcile the gap service years in the Carfax. Also leak down test and paint metering would be helpful. Thanks.
@lcammisa Yes! It is all original. I will look into getting a paint meter or borrowing one from a detailer.
Hello,
Is the paint original? Can you provide paint meter readings? Thanks!
Bid in the amount of $19,993
@HRSalt Of course, give me some time to work on that as I don't have immediate access to a car lift, I can get that posted today sometime.
Thanks so very much for the immediate attention to my earlier comment. Apologies for not including this request as well: Would it be possible to include photos of the undercarriage? Front/rear suspension; engine/transmission; etc.? Thanks again...
@HRSalt Hello, yes I have just uploaded the photos, they're at the bottom of the gallery. You can see where the leather had abrasion from previous owner getting in and out. That's something I can have repaired, if the buyer requests before the sale.
