This example comes finished in Arena Red Metallic over Cashmere and Black upholstery and features an optional limited slip differential and automatic braking differential. Showing approximately 35k miles on the odometer, this 993 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Tennessee.

This Carrera comes finished in Arena Red Metallic (L84S) and rides on factory 17” Cup 2 wheels with colored Porsche center crests and Pirelli P Zero tires from 2019 & 2021. Standard equipment includes black brake calipers with white Porsche lettering, a speed-activated rear spoiler, integrated front fog lights, and dual exhaust outlets. Optional performance equipment includes a limited-slip differential and an automatic braking differential (ABD). The seller adds that regular service has been carried out along with a recent oil change. The CARFAX report shows 3 service history entries since July 2016.

This sale will include a clean title, two keys, and owner’s manuals.

WOW...I had this same exact car (with grey interior) for 14 yrs...sold about a year ago. What a beautiful color combo here. All the comments address the same issues I dealt with, but I loved this car! I won't divulge what I sold it for...😁

Leak was from the lower right valve cover gasket which was replaced as was the shroud identified in the PPI. I am not able to identify any leaks at this time, and I went over the engine closely at the last oil change two months ago. I add maybe a quart of oil every 3-4000 miles.

A bit late to the party here, but I was wondering if the seller could give a bit more insight to some of the leaks (saw them in the PPI from 2021) and if the were addressed recently? I know all these cars leak, but curious if any there have been any recent reseals/rebuilds etc.

Thanks for the information BetaSteve. You must be quite the student of 993's!

  • BetaSteve (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

1995 993 had 272hp. 1996, 7, and 8 had Varioram intakes which provided a large increase in torque under full throttle conditions up to 5000rpm, and 10 more hp, for 282. Motor sound package had nothing to do with it.
Different camps had different opinions on best year to get:
Some will say ‘95 is best due to being an OBD 1 car, with no Secondary Air Injection (SAI) problems.
Some prefer the Varioram cars for improved power characteristics, but these are OBD2 cars so USA cars have SAI problems.
A major difference comparing ‘96 to 7 and 8 was a non programmable ECU. A daughter-board can be utilized but is an extra expense if you’re chasing small bits of easily available extra power.
Pedantic to some no doubt, but I’m surprised at the misinformation shown here, even by the copy writers.

  • TThom85 (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

This will be fun to watch. Great car. I have #322055 in arena red over black - 53,000mi.

  • procky (seller) 7 months, 3 weeksago

@artichoke It does have the sound enhancement package and I forgot to mention it. There are NO check engine lights activated on the car. I have driven the car as it should be :-)

  • artichoke (registered bidder) 7 months, 3 weeksago

This 993 appears to have the "Motor Sound" which increases the HP to 282. Not a big deal, but worth verifying!

Any check engine light issues? 96-98 993's do not tolerate putting around in and need to be driven at higher RPM's to prevent clogging the small vent tubes cast into the manifolds.

    Thanks,

    Bob
