Available for auction is this 1996 Porsche 993 Turbo finished in Arena Red Metallic over a Cashmere/Black full leather interior with exclusive pleated leather seats. This 2-owner ’96 Turbo has remained in exceptional overall condition throughout the years and immediately following the sale, will receive a complimentary full service at the seller’s expense. It is offered today by its seller in Missouri while showing under 38,500 miles on the odometer, accompanied by keys, books, tools, the original window sticker, and a comprehensive collection of service records.
The Arena Red Metallic paint is in excellent, mostly original condition (detailed images and paint meter readings are provided in the photo gallery). The rear quarter panel is said to have been refinished at some point under previous ownership, and the seller confirms that the car was fully detailed recently. This 993 Turbo can be distinguished by its wide fenders, revised bumpers, painted rear spoiler, and 18” Turbo Twist wheels. New Pirelli P-Zero tires will also be mounted by the seller prior to purchase.
Inside, this 993’s Cashmere/Black full leather interior is said to be well-preserved, free of any noteworthy imperfections other than a few small cracks in the wood steering wheel. Factory options include CD storage behind brake lever (X53), wheel caps with colored crests (445), lumbar supported seats both left and right (513 & 586), a sunroof (650), a Nokia Sound System (680), a 6-disc CD-changer (692) and pleated leather seats both front and rear (939 & 982). Notably, the car wears seldom-seen root wood interior accents which are believed to have been likely dealer-installed. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional including the original radio.
The 993 is especially sought after as being the last air-cooled 911 Turbo. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.6 L flat-six engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. An all-wheel-drive system distributes 408 HP and 398 lb.-ft of torque, allowing this Turbo to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in as little as 4.4 seconds. Routine service is said to have been kept up to date with approximately 25 pages of historical service records including the replacement of the left-side turbocharger. A fresh full service will be included at the seller’s expense and this 993 is said to be in superb driving condition.
This 993 is accompanied by its original window sticker, a stamped maintenance book and factory manuals, tools, an air compressor, and the factory exhaust system as well as two key sets. @BlueTTop it is missing the tray that covers the bottom of the engine, many people remove the tray to help with cooling.
@BlueTTop Not sure what part you see missing, undercarriage shows no sign of damage or replaced parts
@kjkaley I don't see any plugs or damage from PDR work.
On picture #113 I see 3 missing plastic covers including the one that goes under the control arm on the right rear. This control arm looks brand new compared to the left side3. Combine this with the 12 mil paint depth on the right rear and raises all kinds of questions. 12 mil could be some blended bondo. Is the right rear wheel new compared to the others? I would like to see pics of the right rear wheel removed along with the fender liner for a good look up and around that area to confirm nothing serious happened.
Are there any signs of paintless dent repair (PDR) ANYWHERE on the car (door, fenders, bumpers, hood, etc.)?
IF YES, can you confirm if any of the following are applicable:
Uneven repair work (if you run your hands over the surface it isn't perfectly smooth and there are bumps)?
Visible stretching of metal or "shimmer" or "hammer hits" when direct light (natural or LED) is shown on the repair spot?
Was there any drilling in the chassis / body to get paintless dent repair work in areas that are hard to access? For example, sometimes repair people will drill a hole in the wheel arch to access a back panel to do repairs. Then they will plug the hole with silicon, etc.

@kjkaley 1. The shifter was upside down, it is being corrected while its being serviced.
2. No scratch on bumper, will submit more photos.
3. Will take another picture.
4. I will need to inspect the window seal, we will submit more photos of the areas in question.
5. Radar would be easy to remove.
6. We submitted multiple undercarriage shots we will send again.
7. Service being performed (now) oil service, brake fluid flush, serpentine belt, and new tires.
@kaleblawler - great looking car and color combo. I have a few questions based on the photos:
1. Pic #50 - Gear shift looks to be installed backwards or is pattern button just turned backwards?
2. Pic # 65 & 77 - is there a scratch on the passenger rear fender (Bumper)? Just behind the rear wheel.
3. Pic # 69 - is there a scratch on the driver side fender just in front of the wheel?
4. Pic #84 - it looks like the rear window seal is popping out (passenger side). Is that the case? Any other locations on the car with the same thing?
5. Is the radar detector hard wired? Any indication how easy it would be to remove?
6. Could you post some additional pics of the underside? While probably limited use, it looks like the car was driven in the NE during the winter based on some of the service / inspection dates. No indications of rust or corrosion?
7. Nice feature to have a full service done after sale - what will that include?
