The Acura NSX features a lightweight aluminum semi-monocoque structure developed with support from Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna and IndyCar champion Bobby Rahal. First unveiled at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show, the NSX entered production in 1990, quickly establishing itself as one of the most iconic Japanese sports cars. This 1997 NSX-T, ordered in striking Spa Yellow Pearl over Onyx leather upholstery, was acquired by its second and current owner in 2014. This NSX-T is now being offered for auction out of New York, with just over 21k miles showing on the odometer.
For the 1997 model year, the NSX featured lighter and stronger aluminum alloy bodywork for its doors, fenders, hood, and decklid. This NSX-T is one of only 245 pre-facelift U.S. NA2 versions reportedly finished in Spa Yellow Pearl, complete with a matching removable hardtop. Features include pop-up headlamps, side air intakes, an integrated rear wing, a full-width LED taillight, power-adjustable mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets. It rides on aftermarket wheels, though the original 16”/17” seven-spoke forged aluminum wheels are said to accompany the sale. Minor scrapes are noted on the underside of the front spoiler, with detailed images available in the gallery alongside a clean CARFAX report.
The driver is situated in an Onyx leather interior with color-coordinating carpets, power-adjustable sports seats, and a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel. Amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and locks, a theft-deterrent system, a center console armrest, and a BOSE sound system with an AM/FM cassette stereo and a remote CD changer. The seller notes an occasional “sticky” tachometer needle and failing rear trunk lid pistons. All other gauges, electronics, and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order.
The 1997 NSX features a revised C32B V6 DOHC engine with a 3.2-liter displacement and a reconfigured stainless-steel exhaust manifold. Equipped with VTEC variable valve timing, it produces 290 HP and 224 lb.-ft of torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The chassis includes a four-wheel double-wishbone suspension, electric variable-assist power steering, a traction control system, and four-wheel disc brakes with ABS. The seller states routine oil changes have been performed.
This sale includes a clean title, the original owner’s manuals, a spare tire, an unused toolkit, and an air pump.
The seller would like you to know: “MY 97 NSX is in perfect condition, it's totally original and its never set rain or snow. It's been kept in a heated garage. It's a clean and straight vehicle with only 21,000 babied miles. I bought the car because it was a soon-to-be classic, and its lines reminded me of a Ferrari. They were touted as an exotic everyday driver when they first came out. Being an ACURA (HONDA), they were made to drive without worrying about breaking down and incurring a large expense. Most of the Acura's NSXs from the 90s that are still on the road have an average of 80,000 miles and up. I have driven my NSX to a few local car shows here on Long Island, and it's amazing to see how the patrons flock to see how this rare specimen outshines most others.”

@Camerasal55 thank you
Autotrend. I appreciate you sharing
this cars history.
You and I both love this car, but for me it’s time to part ways. I just don’t get enough time behind the wheel. My condolences on the loss of your wife.
the original tires are from 1999. my customer bought this car from Greenwich Acura in approx1999/2000 with approx 4,000 miles. he ran the car on dealer plates. we did a set of custom wheels and Eibach lowering springs immediately for him. He sold the car to me with approx.11,000miles around 2002/2003 . i (auto trend) ran it on dealer plates as well. we sold the car to the current owner in 2014 as it shows on carfax. the car had approx 17,800 miles on it at that time. the last and current wheels on the car we did in approx 2003. i drove my wife to our daughter's wedding in july 2004in this car. it was her first, and only time in the car.(i hate stretch limos). my daughter is still happily married, my wife has recently gone to Heaven. i would LOVE to buy this car back again for obvious sentimental reasons. regardless of any miles or condition
No, I don't have the original black face gauges , When I purchased the car the white gauges were in there.
I thought it was an option from Acura. Sorry I don't know the history
@Camerasal55: what is the background of the nice-looking non-original white guages? Do u also have the original black faced ones?
one of the rims as a scuff the other are in really good shape, as for the rubber I'm not sure how long they last but they were stored stacked up on each other, the tread is fine. I ordered the paint meter and Its supposed to be here sometime tomorrow .
@Camerasal55 Thanks for the pictures. I think it's safe to say those tires are gone and the wheels need to be refinished!

I’ll work on getting a paint meter but I can assure you that there has been no paintwork no touchups. This cars paint is totally original.
I just took the pictures of the tires/ rims. The dates might be hard to read unless you zoom in .
@Camerasal55 You can order in 1 day a $20 paint meter off Amazon. Has there been any paintwork or touch up on the car? As for pictures, just submit them to Pcar when you respond and they will post them. It's very easy. As for service records, you may be able to contact the shop that did the work and see if they still have them. Usually dealerships will keep those but not always.
The original tires and rims are in storage I’ll try to get that for you tomorrow Sorry
As for the a paint meter I don’t have one
I had a few other service records but they were lost in our last move Once I take the pictures of the tires and rims how will I show them to you. I’m new PCARMarket
@Camerasal55 To clarify, pictures and date codes of original wheels and tires.
@Camerasal55 Do you have paint meter readings; any records besides the 2 you provided; can you take pictures of the wheels individually with date codes of tires?
