Debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1989 as BMW’s flagship grand touring sports car, the E31 8-Series represents an icon of BMW design with its pillarless windows, pop-up headlights, and a wind-tunnel-shaped wedge-like profile. This 1997 840ci represents the final year of production for the United States and was ordered in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Silver-Grey Nappa leather interior, equipped with a 4.4L V8 paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. It was first titled in Virginia and spent time in Massachusetts before being located to Rhode Island in 2015. Options include a power sunroof, heated seats, and a trunk-mounted 6-CD changer. This 840ci is now being offered at auction by the seller based out of Rhode Island, showing just under 39,790 on the odometer.

Amenities include heated power-adjustable seats with memory, a power sliding sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, an onboard computer, an AM/FM cassette stereo, a hi-fi audio system, and a trunk-mounted 6-CD changer.
