This 1997 Land Rover Defender 110 was subject to a Beachrunner-style frame-off restoration, including a repaint in Coniston Green, new doors, a new hoop set, and a new black fabric soft top as well as a reupholstered Dubai Brown leather interior. As part of the restoration, the 2.5-liter 300Tdi turbodiesel engine was refreshed with a new timing belt and tensioner, new drive belts, and a new radiator in addition to the installation of new suspension components, new brakes, and oil service all under the previous ownership. Upon the seller’s acquisition, this example has been extensively serviced and meticulously maintained. Previously listed on PCARMARKET and accompanied by a host of service documentation, this custom 1997 Land Rover Defender 110 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.
The exterior was stripped down and repainted in Coniston Green (LRC637) and reassembled with new doors, a new hoop set, and a new black fabric soft top. Equipment includes gloss black fender flares, a front brush guard, front and rear steel bumpers, vented fenders, a rear step, a swing-out rear tire carrier, a fold-down windscreen, smoked marker lights and turn signals, and a black front grille. Detailed images are provided in the gallery. A set of gloss black Land Rover Sawtooth wheels with black Land Rover center caps have been fitted with black lug nuts and a set of Nankang Conqueror M/T tires. The seller adds that black Tread Brite upper wing panels, upgraded fender vents, front and rear mud flaps, and four flip-upside steps have been installed.
The interior features new seating upholstered in Dubai Brown leather with gold quilted contrast stitching. As part of the restoration, a new black leather-wrapped dashboard with blue contrast stitching was installed as well as a new locking storage cubby box, new red seatbelts, and new floors. Amenities include a three-spoke wood-rimmed Land Rover steering wheel, integrated cup holders in the center console, heating, and speakers mounted underneath the dashboard. The seller adds that custom-installed rubber floor protection has been added to the cargo seating area and all rubber mats have been replaced.
This Defender is powered by a 2.5-liter 300Tdi turbodiesel inline four-cylinder rated at 111 HP and 195 lb.-ft of torque, delivered to all four wheels by a 5-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. Prior to the seller’s acquisition, the restoration included engine and suspension items including a new timing belt, tensioner, drive belts, radiator, shocks, bump stops, and brakes. The seller adds that service items within the last 4 months include the replacement of the complete turbo assembly with an MD-Engineering turbo upgrade system including new hardware and fittings, along with a drain, flush, and re-fill to the coolant and power steering systems, heat wrap applied to the turbo down-pipe and shielding for sound deadening, new engine and transmission seals, a new clutch, replacements to the thermostat and diesel pump assembly and engine venting hoses, and a front end alignment.

I would like to point out that a brand new fuel tank was also just installed. I must have neglected to send that in to PCAR since I just noticed it is not highlighted in the write up. With many "pieced together" and edgy examples on the market, this Rover is NOT TO BE OVERLOOKED for those seeking stunning and TURN-KEY example. Wish I could hang on to it but space always somehow becomes an issue for me!

@Oddestball hello, thank you for the interest. The party that we purchased it from imported it from Europe and had it titled in MA, so the vehicle is being sold on a clean MA title. I don't have the import docs because this was all addressed prior to my purchase. I believe you can search the VIN and pay to have the data printed out if you are curious beyond that.
