The end of an era for Porsche’s air-cooled 911 Turbo, the 993 generation was the first to adopt a twin-turbocharged engine paired with an all-wheel drive system. This 1997 Belgian-market example was ordered in Polar Silver Metallic over Midnight Blue full leather upholstery and features optional supple leather seats, lumbar support for the driver’s seat, cruise control, colored Porsche-crested wheel caps, and more. Showing approximately 110k kilometers (68k miles) on the odometer, this 993 Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.
Compared to a 993 Carrera, the Turbo model sports wider sills and rear bodywork as well as a body-colored rear spoiler and redesigned bumpers with three front air inlets. This example has been refinished in the factory-specified Polar Silver Metallic (L92M) finish and rides on 18” Technology hollow-spoke wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. It was also optioned without a rear model designation or sunroof. Standard equipment includes headlight washers, integrated fog lights, a rear window wiper, and polished exhaust outlets. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report and paint meter readings.
The cabin is appointed with Midnight Blue full leather upholstery and offers supple leather front and rear seats along with power lumbar support for the driver’s seat. Factory-specified features also include cruise control, a Nokia Digital Sound Processing (DSP) audio system, a Becker Porsche CR-31 cassette radio, and a Becker-Porsche CDC-3 6-disc CD changer. The seller notes a slight patina on the driver’s side seat bolster.
Equipped with twin K-16 turbochargers and dual-charge air intercoolers, the air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine produces up to 408 HP and 398 lb.-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission with Active Brake Differential (ABD) and a limited-slip differential. Stopping power is provided by fixed 4-piston aluminum brake calipers paired with 322mm rotors front and rear. The seller adds that the turbos and catalytic converters were replaced, a host of service documentation will accompany the sale, and all maintenance is currently up to date.

Do you have any photos of the factory spot welds down the channels on either side of the engine bay? Do you have any photos of the area behind the front bumper, under the carpet ( the front tub). This would establish if the car has had any major front or rear collisions, given your indication it has been painted twice ( making paint meter readings not very useful), and given that this is a ROW car and not covered by CARFAX. What shop ( who and where) performed the painting of the car?

( Complete Chain of ownership known BTW ) Service Records 1 inch thick comes with the car. It did received 2 ReSpray and adequate Clear coat. YES. This is the Conclusion. Reason: To mask rock chips. Can you add any clarity to the questions you were asked when you listed this on BAT back in April regarding the suspected bodywork done on the car, the paint thickness readings you posted were all over the map. You explained that it was due to years of polishing etc. Now you say it has had two resprays?????

@PBKING1 This 993 TT received 2 ReSprays and matching clear coats( in 27 years of existence ) to deal with Rock chips. Common practice in Europe. No Drama.
