Up for auction is this 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera Coupe finished in Black over a Classic Grey interior. This well-preserved example was originally registered in Georgia before making its way to California in 2004 where it has remained ever since. Fitted with 18” Turbo-Look wheels and a 6-speed manual gearbox, this 993 is said to have undergone a major service at a cost of over $8k in the last 4k miles as well as a very recent inspection and tune-up to ensure excellent mechanical order. With just over 31k miles traveled from new, this highly original Carrera is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Marina Del Rey accompanied by owner’s books, tools, and the original maintenance log with service stamps up to 27k miles.
The Black finish on this Carrera is described to be in excellent original condition, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. The front bumper has been refinished, all factory labels are said to be in place, and clear protective film has been applied over the front hood, both front fenders, the entire roof, and both doors. This example rides on a set of 18” Turbo-Look wheels that come dressed in Sumitomo tires dated from 2017.
Inside, this 993 features a highly original Classic Grey interior stated to be in fantastic shape with very few signs wear. All power accessories are said to remain fully functional including the original Porsche-Blaupunkt Toronto radio. Other factory features include cruise control, a sound system, a 6-disc CD changer, air conditioning, and a sunroof.
Marking the final iteration of the air-cooled Porsche 911, this Carrera is equipped with a 3.6 L flat-six Varioram engine that sends 282 HP to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. The original maintenance book shows routine service stamps up to 27k miles and the seller reports that a major service was carried out during 2018 within the last 4k miles at a cost of over $8k. A recent inspection and service were also carried out by a reputable specialist and this 993 is reported to be in strong mechanical order.
This sale will include a set of 2 keys, owner’s books, a toolkit, jack, spare tire, service records, the original stamped maintenance book, and a clean title. With just over 31k miles showing on the odometer, this 993 makes a great investment for any air-cooled Porsche collector.

I am a previous owner of this car and I see the subject of paint meter readings is coming up. It is something I did thorough due diligence on when purchasing the car. The wrap was done by Myko Designs out of Orange County on 18Jun2018 at a cost of $2,965. I still have the receipt. The previous owner had his 964, this 993, and his 997 GT3 RS wrapped by Myko in protective "Ultra Film". I spoke to Myko about this car and the job and he told me he took micron readings across the entire car consistent with factory spec on metal before wrapping. As stated the front bumper is repainted. I am a previous owner and have spoken to another 2 owners of this car since the early 2000s. Bid with confidence, she's well sorted.

@noahkl Maybe, but if Porsche is successful with the synthetic fuels they are developing with Siemens then this point will be moot. Synth fuels are coming because the biggest sports car brands in the world know its in their best interest (BMW, Porsche, Ferrari). you may not be able to drive them in the city and only on week ends but people will always gravitate to classic cars like they gravitate towards self winding watches that are obsolete AKA. Rolex.

@lekrz And it will be illegal to drive ICE cars on public roads at some point in the next 30 years. You will need to join an auto country club that has private roads/track. Gonna be expensive to fuel and downshift for the weekend.

Just a thought, when Porsche goes electric for 911 models and rest assured they will . 50K will triple in ten years for this same car. A huge number of Porsche people won't stand for a car that has no sound to it and will be more than willing to pay for the real deal! Again, just a thought.
