The Toyota Land Cruiser 75 Series exemplifies Toyota's dedication to durability and off-road excellence synonymous with the Land Cruiser heritage. This 1997 FJZ75 example is said to have been imported to the United States from its original owner out of Dubai in 2022 where it was reportedly garage-kept and sparingly used. Featuring optional heating & air conditioning units, this 75-series Land Cruiser is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Illinois with less than 23k kilometers (14k miles) on the odometer.
Carrying the iconic boxy design characteristic of the original Land Cruiser, this 75 Series features a pickup configuration along with a long wheelbase for an extended bed for increased cargo capacity. This example comes finished in white with red/orange decorative side stripes and rear Toyota lettering. Details include chrome accents, a removable roof panel, a foldable front windshield, yellow-tinted front bumper-mounted fog lights, side steps, rear mudguards, and grey-finished 16” steel wheels dressed in Ofinix SP Sport tires. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is appointed with grey vinyl upholstery with matching patterned cloth seat inserts and a tan headliner. Equipment includes a 3-spoke steering wheel, roll-up windows, a passenger-side grab handle, a locking glove box, and optional heating & air conditioning. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.
The 1997 FJZ75 equips a 4.5-liter inline-six engine which sends power to all four wheels through an H150F 5-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The seller confirms there are currently no outstanding maintenance items, and states that the following items were serviced:
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This super rare, beautiful and all original Land Cruiser is in gorges condition. Heating and A/C work as they should and all preventative maintenance is done. Starts and runs like a champ, clutch, and 5-speed H150F gearbox work perfectly. It has a removable roof, and you can fold the windshield to make this very unique safari vehicle. Never seen snow, garage kept.”

@stevedevinney good catch.
Title should be FZJ75. Cool truck. I wish I had space in my wife-approved allocation of space.
@rusty Absolutely rust free. Service work done by BTR Chicago.Clean ILLINOIS title in hand
Beautiful 70-series truck! Is the frame/chassis entirely free of any corrosion and rust? Where was all of the service work completed? And clean IL title in hand? Thanks.
@wonk I believe that those decals are original.
@Maciek Thanks
I had another question - did you re apply the decals? (ie: are they new?).
I am wondering what it looked like underneath and if the prior decals faded the paint in that area if I was to remove them.

Beautiful and clean looking Toyota. Good luck with the auction!
@djtmy Yes!!
@gblue No problem. I’m here to answer all questions ;)
Looks like it moves right along… I’ve never seen a Toyota with a manual transmission without a tachometer, but you can always drive by ear, which is great… Thanks for this video

@Jimbo1908 Thank you for your kind words.
What a beautiful LC! and LHD, too. Very cool.
You don’t have to do that for me. I think the car probably weighs around 3200 to 3500 pounds… No worries.
@gblue To be honest, I don't know but we will go to the scale tomorrow. I will provide picture with scale receipt.
Pictures added with some parts that was replaced and with the keys.
We found few coins in this Toyota so we decided to make a nice keychain out of them :)

So can you tell me how much the truck actually weighs?
@gblue GVW (gross vehicle weight) is a weight of vehicles plus maximum load.
You can’t exceed 6950lbs on scale fully loaded.
@Larmoyeux Yes, 1FZ-F with carburetor.
This carburetor engine was offered in the same time with 218hp EFI engine but it’s looks like it was option since most of them have carburetor.
Is that really the correct weight?
I'm having a hard time seeing where 7000 pounds is… or is that some kind of capacity?
That's the weight of a huge SUV..
Can you confirm it please?
superg900. You are saying this truck has the 1FZ-F engine which has a carburetor. Correct? I just assumed since it is a 97 model it would have had EFI.
Thank you.
The 4.5 1FZ-F engine is pretty much same as 4.5 1FZ-FE that was sold in North America. The only difference is fuel system.
1FZ-F carburetor
1FZ-FE fuel injection
All other parts on the engine are the same and you can purchase everything at the Toyota dealership in North America.
Everything else is available online from stores like cruiserparts.net and partsouq.com
Partsouq have all parts, OEM and aftermarket.
@gblue The 1FZ-F produced 188 hp at 4400 rpm and 268 torque at 2800 rpm
@wonk thanks for the very interesting question. After quick research online towing capacity is:
Trailer with brakes - 2500kg (5500lbs)
Trailer without brakes - 750kg (1650lbs)
According to sticker (picture #125) axles are rated:
Front axle capacity - 1400kg (3100lbs)
Rear axle capacity - 2300kg (5100lbs)
Gross vehicle weight - 3150 (6950 lbs)
Does anyone know the towing capacity with this truck also ? (in addition to the guys HP question below). Thanks
Can you give us the specs on how many horsepower this car has?
