This 1998 Porsche 993 Carrera 4 Cabriolet has been treated with a Turbo S body conversion by the renowned customization specialists at Gemballa. Finished in silver over red full leather upholstery, this example also presents a Gemballa sport exhaust and side skirts along with a host of carbon fiber interior enhancements. Purchased new from Beverly Hills Porsche in California, the car was generously optioned with 18” Technology wheels, red brakes, Motor Sound Package, Advanced Technic Package, Hi-Fi Sound System, Supple leather seats, a Special Leather steering wheel, leather sun visors, and much more. This one-owner 993 is now being offered for auction by the selling dealer out of California with just over 50k miles showing on the odometer and extensive documentation.
Commenced shortly after the vehicle’s initial delivery, the Gemballa Turbo S conversion included custom vented side skirts as well as an OEM Turbo S front spoiler, bumpers, and fenders with integrated air scoops. Upon the transformation, this 993 was professionally refinished in its current shade of silver. It also features a black convertible soft top and a raised rear brake light along with optional Xenon headlights, red-painted brake calipers, and 18” Technology wheels. Inside, the red full leather upholstery presents optional supple leather seats, a steering wheel in Special Leather, and sun visors in leather with makeup lights. Additional options include the Hi-Fi-Sound Package, Advanced Technic Package, Power Seats Package, left seat lumbar support, and an infrared security system. Gemballa-specific customizations include a carbon fiber e-brake tray, console switch cover, and door openers, along with an aluminum pedal set. An air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine provides up to 282 HP to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. The optional Motor Sound Package also provides a louder and more aggressive tone with a different airbox and mufflers from the factory, while a Gemballa sport-tuned exhaust and end pipes have been added. The seller adds that a host of service documents will accompany the sale, including a service completed within the last 150 miles.

Not sure what a California “smoke” test is actually- did you misspell -smog test?
Why did the car fail smog as indicated on the carfax a number of years back. Looks like this issue was fixed - in California the seller is responsible if the car fails smog. When I sell cars I just get a smog pass certificate and provide it with the car. They are good for I believe 90 days.

Any issue with the chick engine light coming on? These cars, 96-98, do not like to putter around under 3500 rpm. They must be driven aggressively, as the cast in breathing tubes will clog up and once completely clogged are very expensive to repair/replace?
