The E36 M3 is the second generation of BMWs venerable M3, combining race-inspired BMW Motorsport technology with everyday practicality and luxury. This 1999 example features a highly desirable Techno Violet Metallic finish, Gray leather upholstery, a Harmon Kardon Premium Sound System, a 5-speed automatic transmission with sport and manual driving modes. This M3 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Illinois while showing approximately 79k miles on the odometer.
This M3 is finished in the striking shade of Techno Violet Metallic, complemented with a black convertible soft top. The M3 can be differentiated from a standard E36 3-Series by its revised front and rear bumpers, side skirts, wing mirrors, and M3 badging on the side moldings and trunk lid. The optional 17” BMW Style 24 wheels are mounted with Bridgestone tires. Some imperfections, areas of paint-touch-up, and wear throughout the soft-top are noted. The seller adds that the convertible top shocks, door seals, antenna seal, and windshield cowl were replaced within the last 3 years and 2k miles. This E36 carries a naturally aspirated 3.2-liter S52 inline 6-cylinder engine which sends 240 HP and 236 lb.-ft to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller adds that items serviced within the last 3 years/2k miles include the struts and mounts, control arm bushings, sway bars, spark plugs, brake lines, engine mounts, transmission mounts, underbody splash panels, wheel well liners, hood insulation pad, hood struts, and trunk lid struts, Additionally, the oil and filter, transmission fluid and filter, power steering fluid, brake fluid, and differential fluids were changed. @steveduva, I am the 4th owner (Carfax does not make this super easy). Car is stored in a climate controlled garage, so the tires are in great shape, I bought them in May of 2021 and barely put on any miles. They are Bridgestone Potenza s04 Pole Position.
