The Porsche 996 entered the new millennium as the first water-cooled 911, presenting elegant proportions, a lightweight body, and naturally aspirated flat-six performance. This first-generation Carrera Cabriolet comes finished in Black Metallic over Graphite Grey partial leather interior. It was generously optioned with 18” 911 Turbo-look wheels, supple leather seats, aluminum-look instrument faces, stainless steel door entry guards, stainless steel tailpipes, and much more. This 1999 example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Connecticut with approximately 63k miles on the odometer.

This 996 is finished in Black Metallic with a matching convertible top. Optional features include stainless steel tailpipes as well as 18” 911 Turbo-look cast alloy wheels with colored Porsche center crests and Continental Contact Sport tires from 2020 and 2018. The seller notes some paint imperfections including a scratch on the rear deck lid and two scratches on the passenger door. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is appointed with Graphite Grey partial leather upholstery and optional front & rear supple leather seats. Additional options include Porsche-crested headrests, a wind deflector, and stainless steel door entry guards with Carrera script. The seller adds that a modern aftermarket radio with Bluetooth connectivity has been installed. Slight signs of leather creasing are noted, although all gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.

Power is derived from a naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine generating as much as 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission providing for acceleration from 0-60 MPH in approximately 5 seconds. The seller states that the IMS bearing and rear main seal were said to have been replaced as part of a 60k-mile maintenance by the previous owner upon their acquisition from the selling dealer, although no supporting documentation is available. Additionally, the brakes were replaced along with an oil change approximately 2.5 years ago, and the latest oil change was carried out approximately 3k miles ago. The CARFAX report shows a total of 13 service history entries dating back to the initial delivery.

This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, and a toolkit.

The seller would like you to know:Thanks for viewing the auction for this original and stock 1999 Porsche Carrera 2 Cabriolet.  She is tremendous fun for an older girl and sticks to the road beautifully. I have never had her over 120, but she wants to pull, I am sure, to her top speed. This is a very solid car and is at her best always. She has been bulletproof since I got her 2+ years ago, and I hate to see her go, but I have to acquiesce to my aging back and knees, and get a 'more adult' car, according to my spouse. When I got the car, I immediately did the brakes, tires, and an oil change. The last oil change was 3,000 miles ago. That is all the work done on the car in the last almost 3 years. I was told that the RMS & IMS were done with the 60K maintenance before I bought the car, however, I do not have any paperwork for those services.  The car winters in my heated garage, but April - November was in a carport at my home. There are 2 blemishes: a few scratches on the passenger door from a fallen branch in a storm when I was out of town with her (these may buff out), and a scratch on the back lid from the hardtop. The hard top was not sold with the car when I bought it. The next owner is sure to enjoy this Carrera!”
