Available for auction is this 2000 Audi TT finished in Lake Silver Metallic over an Ebony leather interior. Launched in 1998, the first-generation Audi TT was nominated for the North American Car of the Year in 2000 and named in Car and Driver’s 10 Best List the same year. This example is said to have remained within the same family for 20 years before being acquired by the seller about two years ago. It has been tastefully upgraded with a host of high-end parts including a K04 turbocharger, a front-mount intercooler, an AEM standalone engine management system, Wilwood brakes, Audi R8 style 18” wheels, Koni suspension, and more. Accompanied by dynamometer reports and service documentation, this Audi TT is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Ohio while showing just under 117k miles on the odometer.

This TT is finished in Lake Silver Metallic and rides on a set of R8-style 18” wheels fitted with Continental ExtremeContact DW tires and spacers measuring 12mm in the front and 20mm in the rear. A replacement front bumper was installed to accommodate the upgraded intercooler and the seller notes some chips throughout the exterior as well as hazy headlight lenses, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is upholstered in Ebony leather with matching carpets and door panels. The interior is said to remain very nicely preserved for its age and mileage, showing little wear aside from some scuffing on the sill plates and a broken glove box latch. Amenities include aluminum trim accents, heated front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, and power window and door locks. All gauges and accessories are confirmed to remain functional apart from the air conditioning which has had its condenser removed to accommodate the intercooler.

Power comes from a 1.8-liter turbocharged inline 4-cylinder engine upgraded with an Audi 225TT K04-001 turbocharger and intake manifold, a Kraftworks frown-mount intercooler, 42 Draft Designs downpipe with Magnaflow exhaust system, Injector Dynamics ID-725 fuel injectors, a Deutewerks DW65v fuel pump, and an AEM Infinity 508 programmable ECU with ethanol sensor. The engine is said to run on either pump gas or E85 while producing up to 274 HP and 298 lb.-ft of torque. The front wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transmission with an ACT clutch, flywheel, and a Wavetrac mechanical limited-slip differential. The suspension has been upgraded with Tein lowering springs and adjustable Koni shock absorbers while stopping power comes from Wilwood 4-piston front brakes with 2-piece rotors. The CARFAX includes 24 service entries dating back as far as 1999, and the seller notes that the fuel pump and filter, battery, and thermostat were replaced most recently.

This sale will include a clean title.

I agree @911lover , asking $11.5k for a 2000 MY non quattro is unreasonable , but I guess the red valve cover and the gold lining of the intake runners are worth more to some then others.

@ArmnHammer hi there, thank you for your comments and appreciate the question. I’m pretty sure its just the abrupt change from wide open throttle at high speed in 4th gear and the dyno’s reaction to that but I’ve asked the tuner for his feedback as he’s a pro. I’ll let you know what he says

  • ArmnHammer (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

@2FaasstDad Nice looking TT. Looks like you put a lot of work and modifications into this car and it's ready for the track. Thanks for posting the dyno video, but what is that loud bang at 31 seconds?

Welcome PCarMarket! This car is a gem! Clean and dry, modified and properly sorted, adult owned its entire life. It was part of a grouping of fine german cars covering 4, 6 and 8 cylinder varieties, some water cooled and some air cooled; turbo and normally aspirated; front, mid and rear engined - and this TT holds it own in that prestigious crowd. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to answer. Happy bidding and thank you for looking!
