Available for auction is this 2001 Jaguar XKR Silverstone finished in Platinum Silver over a black leather interior. Bult to commemorate Jaguar’s entrance into Formula 1, this XKR exists as one of only 130 convertibles and 250 total examples built for North America. Power is derived from a supercharged V8 and special features include 20” BBS wheels, retuned steering, exclusive Silverstone badging and trim, upgraded Brembo brakes, and more. This rare XKR is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York showing approximately 26k miles on the odometer.
This XKR Silverstone is finished in Platinum Silver with a black convertible soft top. It rides on multi-piece 20” BBS wheels dressed in Fortune tires. In addition to special Silverstone badging, it sports the 2001 XKR update which includes a revised front and rear bumper, chrome trunk lid trim, and newer taillights. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The interior is finished in black leather with accenting red stitching and maple wood trim on the dash and center console. It features factory sports seats, a 320-watt Alpine Audiophile stereo system, and model-specific trim on the pedals, shift knob, door sills, and floor mats. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.
The XKR Silverstone is equipped with a supercharged 4.0-liter V8 sending as much as 370 HP and 387 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission. It reaches 60 MPH from a standstill in as little as 5 seconds and finishes the quarter mile in approximately 13.5 seconds. Additionally, the XKR Silverstone comes standard with returned steering, upgraded Brembo brakes that improve stopping power at all four corners, and retuned dampers with Jaguar's CATS (Computer Active Technology Suspension) system that adjusts the stiffness according to road conditions. This example is said to have been maintained at Jaguar dealerships.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, window sticker, toolkit, spare tire, some documentation, and two sets of keys.

There were 250 XKR Silverstone convertibles made for the US and Canada in 2001. More rare is the 2001 XKR Silverstone Coupe - only 25 were made for the US and Canada. It was unusual, but it actually cost $10k more than the convertibles because it had even more CAT suspension and performance tweaks. We bought #25, the last unsold coupe in 2001, kept it for ten years and we’re still friends with the Jaguar collector buyer. I’m interested in this convertible but concerned by the undercarriage rust and damage to the BBS wheels and passenger dash. Those aren’t inexpensive repairs. Would the seller garage the car until transport can be arranged from NY to NC?
Bonnie I’m aware of the limited production. The charcoal black mats with red stitching is correct for the Silverstone. I’m just saying this is the first example of a Silverstone with the wording One of 250. Didn’t know if anyone out there knew more about it. It’s a beautiful car. Shame there is underbody rust and the passenger side dash wood trim is cracked.

@dkohrs im not sure about the mats I took the car as a payment. It’s beautiful and clean and runs and sounds great. it’s to much car for me.
Couple of questions: @Bonnie why are you selling the after such a short time?
And to the community, the passenger side floor mat says “ONE of 250”. Is that unique to this example? I’ve never seen it in other Silverstones.
Can I see a picture of the entire convertible top rear window. Are there any indications that the window is starting to come off of the top?

Spline system is perfect, all CD Slots work and there is no distortion in the sound
Tires have less than 5k miles on them
I used to own #25 of the 25 coupe built for the US. My 2001 Silverstone Coupe’s GPS was faulty and had to be replaced with an original refurbished unit. What is the condition of your GPS and Alpine System? Have the tires been replaced? Pretty car.
