Offering all-wheel-drive performance, this 2001 996 Carrera 4 features a naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine along with desirable 6-speed manual transmission. It is finished in Black over a matching interior and hosts a range of options including 18” Turbo Look Wheels, the Comfort Package, the Technic Package, and more. This example was sold to a small used car dealership in 2010 by its original owner and has been garage kept and driven 4k miles since then. Accompanied by a 90-day/4k mile limited warranty, this 996 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York showing approximately 33k miles on the odometer.

Among the last of the narrow-bodied Carrera 4 models, this example comes finished in Black. It rides on optional 18” Turbo Look wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps, which are dressed in Continental Sport Contact 2 tires from 2006. The seller notes minor imperfections on the gas door and rear bumper along with some outer-edge curb rash on three of the wheels. Additionally, the seller notes that the front bumper was professionally repainted two months ago due to a small scratch. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The black leather interior features partial leather seats, the Comfort Package, and the Technic Package. The Comfort Package includes seats with electric height, length, backrest, and lumbar adjustment plus driver’s side memory, while the Technic Package includes a Hi-Fi sound system, onboard computer, and CD radio. Other amenities include a 3-spoke leather steering wheel, heated front seats, automatic climate control with air-conditioning, power windows with one touch, and a power sunroof. The seller notes the locking center console door hinge is broken and connected by a strap, and all other gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.

This 996 is powered by a water-cooled naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine that delivers up to 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in approximately 5 seconds and stopping power is derived from fixed 4-piston brakes paired with ventilated and cross-drilled rotors at each corner. Other performance features include Porsche Stability Management (PSM) with Electronic Gas Pedal (E-Gas) and Automatic Brake Differential (ABD).

This sale will include a clean title, window sticker, owner’s manuals, and some documentation.

The seller would like you to know: "As sole proprietor of a small used car dealership, I purchased this Porsche from a friend(the original owner) 13 years ago. Since then, I have driven it 4,000 miles. It has always been garage kept. This car really speaks for itself. It has the normal wear and tear to be expected for its mileage, so besides some minor imperfections this car is nearly flawless. Thank you for viewing my auction. Your interest is very much appreciated."

@tstamm I gave PCarMarket the images. There is no documentation of the IMS. Yes, original brakes and clutch. I did not get a paint meter reading, the front bumper was professionally repainted this year. All other paint is original.

@CotrupeAuto Don't feed the trolls. Some of these curmudgeons sit at their PC all day, hitting the F5 button just waiting to pounce on ANYTHING they can throw salt at. Car looks great and I am sure it's going to be competitive in the last 60 minutes of the auction. GLWS. 155, take the snark to one of the social media sites. Be constructive or go away.

@155MPH Thank you for your interest. We instructed our professional detail personnel to leave the engine as is. We felt showing it's patina would allow prospective buyers to see that this car is all original. To answer your question, the car was driven locally a total of 4,000 miles over the course of the last 13 years. Rest assured, this car is very special and we can't wait to get this car to its new owner.

As I dealer, one would think you would know how to detail a car. The engine compartment is filthy and sure doesn't look like a car that was always garaged and cared for. So, my question is, where did you drive those 4,000 miles? Why so much dust and dirt in the engine compartment?
