Paying homage to the classic 507 Roadster, a total of 5,703 BMW E52 Z8s were constructed with a lightweight aluminum chassis and equipped with the legendary S62 V8 borrowed from the E39 M5. The Z8 became an instant automotive icon following its role as the hero car in the 1999 James Bond film, The World is Not Enough. Finished in Stratus Metallic over a Crema leather interior, this 2002 example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California showing approximately 9k miles on the odometer.
Designed in collaboration with Chris Bangel, Henrik Fisker, and Scott Lempert, the Z8 features aluminum bodywork including fender vents with BMW roundels and front grills inspired by the original 507. This example is finished in Stratus Metallic (440) with a matching removable hard top. Details include xenon headlamps, fog lights, neon tube taillights, chrome side mirrors, and dual polished exhaust tips. It rides on a set of Z8-specific 18” Style 59 split-spoke forged alloy wheels. The seller notes a minor imperfection on the lower passenger side of the hard top. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is upholstered in Crema (P1CT) leather and is accented by body-colored trim. The driver-focused layout includes a center-mounted instrument cluster and beautifully sculpted aluminum knobs, switches, and touchpoints. Amenities include heated power-adjustable seats, remote keyless entry, a push-button ignition, and a 10-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
Power comes from a front mid-mounted 4.9-liter S62 V8 engine shared with the E39 M5 sports sedan. The lightweight aluminum S62 uses double-VANOS variable valve timing, quad hollow camshafts, and individual throttle bodies to produce up to 394 HP and 368 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission and a mechanical limited-slip differential. The seller adds that strut braces have been installed and the CARFAX report shows service completed by German Auto Repair in November 2022 as well as replacement of the starter in 2021.

It looks like the strut tower protection package is incomplete. There are no reinforcement plates on the top of the strut tower. Also, would be ideal to verify if the steel strut tops are installed vs the original aluminum ones.

this color is incredible in person- it has a 'shift' effect in the pearl that adds hues of gold, purple, and orange depending on your viewing angle.
