The Ford Thunderbird marked the revival of a classic American nameplate, blending retro design elements from the original 1950s models with modern engineering. Powered by a 3.9-liter V8 paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission, this 2002 example is finished in Evening Black over a black leather interior. It features a Midnight Black power-retractable soft top, the Black Interior Accent Package, 17” Premium wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, a premium audio system with a 6-CD changer, and more. Showing approximately 9k miles on the odometer, this Thunderbird is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Minnesota.
The Thunderbird’s design took inspiration from the original 1950s models, showcasing a rounded front end, an egg-crate grille, dual-beam halogen headlamps, and round taillights. This example is finished in Evening Black and features a power-retractable Midnight Black soft top, integrated fog lights, a hood scoop, a polished windshield surround, Thunderbird-script badging, and dual exhaust outlets. It rides on chrome-finished 17” seven-spoke Premium wheels wrapped in Michelin HX MXM4 tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The interior is appointed with power-adjustable seats upholstered in black leather, complemented by a high-gloss black shift knob and silver trim accents to the dashboard and door panels. Notable features include multi-function steering wheel with a glossy upper accent, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, cruise control, and a premium audio system with an in-dash 6-CD changer.
Power comes from a 3.9-liter V8 equipped with dual overhead camshafts per cylinder bank, which delivers a factory-rated 252 HP and 267 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission. It also has traction control, an independent suspension system with short-long arm front and rear setups, and ventilated front and rear disc brakes.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a top boot, and a clean title.

One hour and 25 minutes till this auction ends. You know it is a California car. Runs looks and drives perfectly. Time capsule. Nothing more to say. If you want the best, here it is. Any questions?
We are now within hours of this car's auction ending time. It is extremely nice. Completely original. Will do our best to answer any questions. Please feel free to ask anything.
@FLCarNut Thank you for your interest in our Thunderbird. We see the wrinkles in the leather. Since all leather is different, you will get more or less wrinkles based on what part of the animal the leather was taken. Thin skin area or thick skin area. Also the size of the driver. The original owners of the car probably drove it just a few miles at a time. That means getting in and out more than driving it. When you get in and out many times, the door panel side of the leather bolster will show more wear. Since the console side is extremely nice, that appears to be a logical explanation. Probably was driving less than 10 miles at a time early in it's life. This car's condition and odometer doesn't lie. No need to feel that one 8 inch area on a nearly perfect car, means it might have higher miles.
We sell about 40 extremely low miles vehicles every year. We are certain about what this car is. It appears to still retain it's original tires, paint, top, interior, carpet, belts, hoses and much more. Carfax has confirmed what we are saying about this wonderful car.
Hope that satisfies your concerns.
@Firewood Thank you for your interest. The VIN is right at the top of this listing. 1FAHP60A72Y111715
Bid in the amount of $5,000
How did the driver's side seat bolster get so damaged, scratched & cracked with only 9,000 miles on the car? One of my cars is an 8 year old Ford with 16,000 miles and ALL of the leather seats and bolsters look like new!
Nice, love the black black. But can you please post the VIN? Thanks!
