This 2002 Mercedes-Benz CLK 55 AMG Cabriolet was configured as a Designo Cashmere Edition featuring unique paint, trim, and a Pebble Grey Designo leather interior. Representing the final year of the W208 chassis, this 2002 example was acquired by the seller from its original owner in September of 2016 and has been serviced by an authorized dealer ever since. This rare CLK Designo Cashmere Edition is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey showing approximately 73k miles on the odometer.
This CLK 55 sports a premium Cashmere finish with a power-retractable soft top in black. It comes equipped with xenon headlights and the AMG Styling Package which adds a more aggressive front spoiler, side skirts, rear apron, and a set of 17” 5-spoke multi-piece AMG wheels. The car rides on Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3+ tires from 2017. Some chips are noted on the front end and the seller reports the driver’s side of the vehicle was refinished in 2016 after cosmetic damage during transport. The convertible roof shows fading as well as a split seam on the passenger side, detailed images can be found in the gallery. The CARFAX report shows damage to have occurred to the rear end in 2011.
The cabin is upholstered in unique Pebble Grey Nappa leather with Auburn Maple wood trim and Designo logos on the seats and floor mats. Accessories include COMAND navigation, a Mercedes branded cellular phone, a wind deflector, heated front seats, and automatic climate control. The upholstery shows signs of age including fading on the front seats and shrinking leather on the rear side panels.
The hand-built M113 5.4-liter V8 engine produces up to 362 HP and 376 lb.-ft of torque and features a forged billet steel crankshaft, forged connecting rods and pistons, a modified intake manifold, reworked cylinder heads, and lightweight AMG-specific camshafts. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed shiftable automatic transmission. The car has been serviced by Silver Star Motors of New York under the current ownership including new tires, belts, brakes, and fluids in 2017.

Hi, I'm Matt and this is my CLK. It's a special car, not only to me, but is a true one of one per MBUSA as the only CLK55 AMG cab in designo Cashmere for this generation. This car has been in my care for about five and a half years, always serviced at Silver Star Motors for it's yearly maintenance and service needs. I am the former president of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America Northern New Jersey Section and entered this car in the annual June Jamboree, which in took 1st place for it's category in concours in 2018.
