Now up for auction is this 2002 Porsche 996 Carrera 4S Coupe finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a black full leather interior with supple leather front and rear seats. This 2002 example offers a 6-speed manual transmission, all-wheel-drive performance, and styling derived from the 911 Turbo. A lifelong California car showing a clean two-owner history on CARFAX, this 996 C4S is now being offered for auction with approximately 69k miles showing on the odometer.
This 996 is finished in Seal Grey Metallic, additional images are provided in the photo gallery. As a Carrera 4S, this example features a unique model-specific reflector band between the taillights and shares its wide fenders, bumpers, red brake calipers, and wheels with the Turbo model. The factory 18” wheels include special “4S” center caps and come dressed in Bridgestone Potenza S-02A tires.
Inside, the driver is situated in a premium black full leather interior with supple leather seats and Alcantara headliner. The doorsills are emblazoned “Carrera 4S” logos and this example was equipped with the Advanced Technic Package which adds high-pressure headlight cleaners, the Bose audio system, upgraded speakers, Xenon projector headlights, and a remote CD changer. An aftermarket Alpine stereo has been installed and the seller reports all gauges and accessories to be working properly at this time.
This Carrera 4S is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.6L flat-six engine that sends as much as 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The 4S also shares its brakes and suspension setup with the Turbo. An oil change has been recently carried out in preparation for sale and CARFAX shows a consistent history of service from new up until 2019. There is no record of an IMS bearing replacement and the seller reports the starter to stick intermittently.
This sale will include an owner's manual pouch, facotry touchup paint, and a clean title. The Porsche 996 is becoming increasingly desirable, do not miss your chance to own this 6-speed Carrera 4S.

RNM?
For this car without IMS being addressed, this was a very strong price. Seller should have taken the final bid IMHO.
Good luck in DT ?

I forgot to address the starter issue. It seems it was operator error, because the issue hasn’t repeated itself since my mechanic inspected it. The car has been started and driven at least 15 times since then and haven’t heard anything. I might have been holding the key too long on start up.

@URS6 the carfax shows a clutch replacement at 16k miles. I don’t have any proof of the IMS
Do I assume correctly that neither the IMS, RMS, nor clutch have been replaced/upgraded on this car? Nice low mile car though.
This is a very clean car inside and out. Front and Rear struts replaced at 60k miles. The car drives and runs great. The Shifting is smooth, lots of power, the clutch is smooth and feels new. The winning bidder will not be disappointed.
@Sealitup I do have some records. The front bumper was reconditioned at the Porsche dealership at 59k miles in 2017 as Wells as replaced the front spoiler. My paint meter average about 1.5-3 mills around the car.
Picture #59, I am assuming that you are showing the dry rot in the tires and was there any paint work done that you know of? Great looking car!
@Attorney_hen, I saw what you did there ?
