Other equipment includes cruise control, automatic climate control, and a Porsche CDR-220 head unit.
A replacement naturally aspirated 3.6-liter M96 flat-six is said to have been installed in 2023 approximately 20k miles ago. As much as 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in approximately 5 seconds while stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes and ventilated discs at each corner. The seller adds that a short shifter kit and H&R springs have also been installed.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a window sticker, and some documentation.

Porsches sell themselves they all go up in value eventually
We are too far apart, the market has spoken. Last year I paid $26k for a 99 with 28k miles, original motor. Was generous today.
@911Vic Good luck, I knew $25k couldn't have been enough
Thanks everyone for all the comments and interest.

Hi I just checked the receipt. And the shop that did it is Rags German Auto.
Any chance you know the shop who did the engine/IMS install?

Hi the car comes with 1 key and 1 dummy key. Also comes with a spare tire, owners manuals and service records. It does not have a jack or tool kit. I also uploaded a photo of the keys.
How old are the tires. Does the car come with two keys, tool kit, jack?

@Doctorgolf
I was told that IMS bearing failed on the owner.
Also, do you happen to know why the engine was replaced, what led to the engine failure in the first place?
Thank you for your information
@911Vic Thank you for your response!
@Doctorgolf
Hi not every service that it’s done to the vehicles are posted on Carfax report,
Hello
I like the car! Question: shouldn’t be the replacement of the engine be noticed in the Carfax report? If so, why isn’t it? Please let me know.

Hi, the IMS was done when the used engine was put into the car. But we do not have a receipt of saying it was done, thats what the previous owner told us.
The engine that was put in was a used engine with only 18k miles. The engine was installed about 2K miles ago.
Regarding the engine replacement, was the IMS addressed? If so, using which method?
I think it might have been answered already but just want to double check, was the replacement engine new (as in not previously in another vehicle)?
Thanks for answering these questions, it's a beautiful car with tasteful mods!

I meant “like” your comment regarding the bore scoring inspection. I’m not great at messaging, so I hope I didn’t dislike or flag it by mistake 😬. Thanks again for the reply.

Hi we checked the receipt and they never but the serial number on the receipt. But there is a vin number and it matches.
@ab996
Thanks for your comment.
we did not do it. It was done by previous owner. I will email him. Maybe he can reply to me so I can answer. i’ll let you know if I hear something from the previous owner.
Thanks
Good morning,
I see the engine receipt mentions it was inspected for bore scoring. Do you happen to know if this was done below the pistons through the oil sump (not sure I’m saying that correctly), or from the top by removing the spark plugs? I’ve owned two 2002 996 C4S in silver. This narrow body in lapis blue looks great. Thank you.

I beg your pardon. Reading on I see that you have receipts. Assume able to match engine serial # to receipt then?
Greetings. Write up says engine is ‘said to have been replaced’ 20k miles ago. Proof?
Thank you
