This 2002 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet is finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a Graphite Grey partial leather interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its 3.6-liter flat-six engine. It was also optioned with 18” Turbo-look wheels, Porsche Stability Management, the Advanced Technic Package, heated front seats, and deviated seat stitching. It is now being offered for auction out of Florida while showing less than 73k miles on the odometer.

This 996 is finished in Seal Grey Metallic with a black convertible top and features bi-xenon headlights with washers as part of the Advanced Technic Package. Other equipment includes a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, black brake calipers with white Porsche lettering, and optional 18” Turbo-look wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires mounted in November 2023. The original hard top is said to accompany the sale, and the seller states the car has been stored inside a garage for much of its life. Some signs of road wear are notes along with an imperfection on the passenger’s side. Additionally, the driver’s side door is said to have been repaired and refinished, and the CARFAX report shows damage to the rear end in May 2003.

The cabin presents Graphite Grey partial leather upholstery. Accessories include automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and mirrors, driver seat memory, and an onboard computer. Additionally, a Bose sound system is included with the Advanced Technic Package. The seller notes the CD player works intermittently, the radio is working properly, and a replacement oil pressure gauge will accompany the sale as the original unit is inoperable.

A naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes paired with ventilated discs at each corner. This car was also optioned with Porsche Stability Management (PSM). The seller states that oil changes have been carried out every September under their ownership using Mobil 1 Synthetic 15-50 oil. A collection of service records is said to be included in the sale.

This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, an air pump, sales literature, service records, the original hard top, and a new oil pressure-sending unit.

The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for visiting my auction. I have owned the car for 13 years now and it's always been fun taking out this 911, I get comments every time I take it out. But it's time to let someone else enjoy what I have enjoyed for so many years. I am selling it because I just bought another car and don't have much time to drive the car. The car has been garaged since I purchased it. I did some of the work on the car over the years but when it was necessary, I always used a Porsche Certified mechanic. Brakes - Fluid flushes - 30,000-mile checkup were all done by Porsche mechanics. I replaced all 4 tires in November of 2023 with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Tires. The exterior paint is in excellent condition. The interior upholstery has no rips or signs of wear in the leather. I'm sad to see it go but knowing someone else will enjoy it makes it easier to let it go. You are bidding on a great car! Good luck!”

Thanks for inquiring about my car. When I bought the car I was told that the IMS bearing was done. The person who owned the car before me passed away and no records of service were found. From day one I had the oil changed at a Porsche Certified mechanic and they would run the oil analysis. When I changed the oil myself I would run a magnet thru the oil and also checked the oil filter cut open. No signs of metal in the oil. Hopefully this answers your question.

Hi, nice looking car. Has the IMS been replaced? If so, which solution/kit? Does it have any signs of bore scoring? Have you scoped the bores (ideally via the sump)? How about used oil analysis after a recent oil change? Thanks and GLWA!

Welcome to the auction of my 2002 Porsche 911. The car has been garaged most of its life. A couple of minor things I have pointed out that are easily fixed. Good luck bidding, you are getting a truly great car. Any questions you have will be answered.
