20K-Mile 2002 Porsche 996 GT2 6-Speed

We are pleased to offer this 2002 Porsche 996 GT2, one of only 305 examples ever produced for North America.  Low-mileage, originality, proper documentation, and exclusive options are a few reasons why this GT2 is one of the top examples being offered today.  With an iconic Mezger engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, this example represents an incredible opportunity to own one of today's most coveted sports cars.

The Black exterior finish on this 911 is stated to be in exceptional condition with clear paint protection film covering the full bumper, half hood, A-pillars, and rocker panels.  The GT2 variant stands out over the regular Turbo model with its enlarged fixed rear wing, more pronounced front lip, and lowered ride height.  Adding to its already aggressive stance are enlarged ducts on the front facia and large intakes just beyond the doors.  Keeping the car planted is a set of silver 18” turbo twist wheels that wear a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires with approximately 50% tread life remaining.

Inside, you will find a highly optioned black leather interior.  The driver is situated in sport bucket seats while surrounded by carbon fiber accents, a silver painted center console, aluminum instrument dials, Speed Yellow seatbelts and more.  With an original MSRP of over $192k, additional exclusive options include:

  • Windscreen w/ graduated top tint
  • Door entry guards in stainless steel
  • 3-spoke leather steering wheel
  • Porsche crests in head rests
  • Cruise control
  • CD storage
  • Automatic climate control
  • Electric side mirrors
  • Illuminated sun visors
  • Headlight cleaning
  • Radio preparation
  • Alarm system
  • On-board computer

The 996 GT2 is capable of reaching 60mph in under 4 seconds with a top speed of almost 200 mph.  This outstanding pace is achieved by a factory twin turbocharged 3.6L flat-six Mezger engine, which produces approximately 456HP.  This power is delivered to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.  In order to curtail this horsepower, this 996 is equipped with PCCB (Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes).  Both the sound and performance of this GT2 are boosted from an AWE cat-back exhaust system (original exhaust is included with the sale). Service records from its North-East origin through its current residency will show that this GT2 has always been properly maintained. Currently up-to-date on all due service, this car is waiting to be enjoyed by its next proud owner.

The sale will also include two keys, factory books, extensive service records, Certificate of Authenticity, and an original window sticker.

@Estebane23 thank you! I would need to get a formal quote to be exact. Are you speculating at the moment, or would you like to make a deal?

Hi, beautiful car. How much would it cost to transport to Florida?

  • maxskillen (seller) 5 months, 1 weekago

@nosubstitute4porsche Hello - a 2.5% duty ($3,162.50 on a price of $126,500) is paid on the purchase price of the car if it’s being imported.

Borders are open for shipment! I just exported a 1994 BMW Alpina B3 to the states a week and a half ago - no issues - it’s seen as trade.

    Does this help?

@maxskillen hello do we still need to pay the duty to bring it back?
Are the borders currently open for shipping to the u.s.a.?

@Jetfire A huge thank-you to everyone who has bid! Unfortunately, it takes a bit more here.
, a DME reading is available in the documentation provided in the listing. If you look through the documents, you'll find it was done in February of 2017, just 1000 miles ago, when the car was inspected by my family prior to sale. In the 1000 miles since, there has been no track driving. Only mild jaunts to the local Cars and Coffee meetings.

@mkdrive That $18k option would be a tough box to check when ordering her new, but I’m sure glad somebody did! What a machine!

Whoever wins this one won't be disappointed I sold my 02 to acquire an air cooled Cup Car. This car is smooth in every ways and swoosh like a jet in no time at speed. Good luck bidding!

    @9000r.p.m. Hi! Current owner here.

Because the vehicle is an original US car, it will cross back into the US with no hold at the border. It’s similar to buying a car out of state.

We maintain a car collection in Canada, and are the 4th owners of this GT2. I hope this helps!

  • 9000r.p.m. (registered bidder) 6 months, 3 weeksago

How hard is it to get a Canadian car into the U.S.? You are the 3rd or 4th owner?

  • mbuerkle 6 months, 3 weeksago

Bid in the amount of $911
