Now available for auction is this 2002 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe finished in Lapis Blue Metallic. Equipped with a sought-after twin-turbocharged Mezger engine connected to a 5-speed Tiptronic transmission, this 996 commanded an original sticker price of over $120k with a premium Metropol Blue full leather interior and supple leather seats. The exterior appearance has been modified and the performance has been upgraded with an ECU tune, silicone charge pipes, and an Agency Power exhaust system. It was originally sold in California where it remained up until 2016. Showing just over 83k miles on the odometer, this Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This Turbo is finished in Lapis Blue Metallic and features a painted carbon fiber rear wing, LED 997-style taillights, tinted windows, and 19” Ruger alloy wheels finished in black with Hankook Ventus V12 tires. The rear wing has been fixed in the raised position and the original spoiler is said to accompany the sale. A professional paint correction was carried out within the last year and the seller notes only minor cosmetic imperfections throughout the exterior. Inside, this Turbo showcases a Metropol Blue full leather interior with supple leather seats and adjustable front-seat lumbar support. An upgraded Pioneer radio has been installed along with aluminum pedal covers. All instrumentation and electronics are said to be fully functional, although the seller notes the left-hand turn signal does not cancel automatically.
The race-derived 3.6L twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six engine generates up to 415 HP stock, which is distributed among all four wheels through a 5-speed Tiptronic transmission with manual and automatic shifting modes. Performance upgrades include an Agency Power exhaust system, silicone charge pipes, and an ECU tune which is said to result in an output of up to 485 HP. History of maintenance provided by the seller indicates a transmission service, brake fluid flush, and rear shock replacements to have been carried out in 2017 at 71,800 miles. More recently in 2021, an oil change was completed along with a coolant flush and replacement of the front hood struts at 83,305 miles. Additional service history is provided on CARFAX dating back to the original purchase.

@Bigdino The car was an original California car and has many records going back to the days it was serviced in California. Unfortunately being in Florida, I cannot guarantee it will pass smog.

This is really a great Porsche, actually better than the pics show! The records almost go back to new showing the car has always had excellent care. It also has a very cool story. I have owned the car twice and just got it back from a young guy I sold it to a few years back. He is a Iraq vet who lost a leg in the war making a tiptronic Turbo the perfect car for a guy who couldn't use a clutch! He sold me back the car a few weeks ago because he had gotten a new prosthetic leg and could now drive a stick shift car. We are now looking for that perfect replacement Porsche!
