We are pleased to offer this 2002 Porsche 996 Turbo Coupe finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Graphite Grey full leather interior. The flagship model of the 996 generation, the Turbo is equipped with a race-derived Mezger flat-six engine sending up to 420 HP to all four wheels. At an original sticker price of over $117k, this Turbo came factory optioned with heated front seats, Porsche crest embossed headrests, and a 6-speed manual transmission. It also features tasteful upgrades including a set of lightweight OZ Racing wheels, BC Racing adjustable coilover suspension, and a 997 shifter. Now with just over 58k miles showing on the odometer, this 996 Turbo is being offered for auction by its owner out of Oklahoma.
This Turbo is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and features wide fenders, rear side air intakes, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. The seller reports a few imperfections commensurate with normal road-going use including a very minor dent above the driver-side rear wheel arch and a small scuff on the driver-side headlamp. Additional images can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This Turbo rides on a set of lightweight 19” OZ Racing HLT wheels dressed in a set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires showing date codes from 2017 in the front and 2020 in the rear.
Inside, the heated and power-adjustable seats feature memory settings for the driver and are trimmed in Graphite Grey leather which extends throughout the cabin. Upgrades include an auxiliary input for the factory radio as well as the deletion of the original CD holder and ashtray. The center console has also been professionally refinished in Arctic Silver Metallic to match the exterior.
Derived from the 911 GT1 Le Mans race car, the 3.6L twin-turbocharged Mezger engine delivers up to 420 HP to all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is accomplished in approximately 4 seconds with a top speed of nearly 190 MPH. The brake system consists of red-painted 4-piston aluminum monobloc fixed calipers paired with ventilated, cross-drilled 330mm discs front and rear. Porsche Stability Management (PSM) with ABS 5.7, ASR, and ABD also came standard on the Turbo. This example has been upgraded with a 997 shifter assembly, BC Racing adjustable coilovers, and 7mm/25mm wheel spacers for a more aggressive stance and wider track. The CARFAX report shows a long history of maintenance and the seller notes that all service has been carried out by the specialists at Planet 9 Eleven during their ownership including a recent oil and filter change.
This sale will include the original spare tire, toolkit, and a clean title (lien). One of the most increasingly sought-after water-cooled Porsches on the market, this tastefully upgraded 6-speed 996 Turbo is not to be overlooked.
