Representing the 3rd generation of the venerable BMW M3 sports car, the E46 is equipped with an S54 inline 6-cylinder engine that sends power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Featuring a sunroof-delete "slicktop" roof and manual seats, this M3 comes finished in Jet Black over Dove Grey leather upholstery. Tastefully modified with a CSL-style front lip, APEX wheels, H&R lowering springs, and a cold air intake, this 2003 example is now being offered for auction while showing approximately 106k miles on the odometer.
Finished in Jet Black, this M3 came factory optioned with a highly desirable “slicktop” roof. A more aggressive stance is achieved by a CSL-style front lip, H&R lowering springs, and APEX ARC8 19” alloy wheels. It rides on Michelin Pilot Sport front tires from 2018 and General G-Max rear tires from 2021. The seller notes some panels have been refinished due to signs of age, minor signs of road wear are noted on the front end, and a thin 1” scratch is present on the passenger side quarter panel. The Dove Grey Nappa leather interior features manually adjustable front seats and a black roof liner. Amenities include a multifunction M sport steering wheel, the HiFi Speaker System, and automatic climate control. Aftermarket pedal covers have been installed and the inner armrests have been wrapped in black Alcantara along with the dashboard trim pieces. The seller notes the rearview mirror shows darker due to an internal dimmer fluid leak, common to the E46.
Up to 343 HP comes from a naturally aspirated S54 3.2-liter inline 6-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. An upgraded cold air intake has been installed for increased performance and induction sound. The CARFAX report shows 24 service records dating as far back as 2003 and the rod bearings were addressed under recall at approximately 13k miles in 2004. The seller states that a recent service included refreshments to the rear Bilstein shocks, differential bushings and fluid, and brake pads and rotors.

@StrasseD76 no worries, no need for the paint meter reading. Was just curious to what panels as I know that the clear coat is usually what goes first with these vehicles.
@Ecosse I called the BMW dealer that did the rod bearings and they were able to confirm that they were done but for some reason were not able to print me a record of it - Something about client confidentiality. The previous owner supplied us with the front brakes, rear shocks, diff bushings, etc. and we had them installed in house so there is not a physical service invoice for them. However, you can see from the underside photos that the shocks are new!
@Dan008 Do not remember off the top of my head but can get some paint meter readings tomorrow. I think it would be nearly impossible for a 20 year old car with over 100k miles to look this good with all original paint!
Can you upload documentation for the rod bearings in 2004, the recent service for brakes & shocks, as well as any other maintenance paperwork. Thanks

The E46 M3 is such a great daily driver. all around fun car and super comfortable and usable. I drove one for about a week and loved it.
@Monty1212 We did not get any physical receipts for the VANOS, however, we can confirm that it is in working order. The subframe has not been reinforced and no signs of issue were noted during the time of the recent differential service.
