Finished in Black over a matching interior, this 2003 Porsche 996 Carrera Cabriolet features a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its 3.6-liter engine along with optional 18” light alloy wheels, Porsche Stability Management (PSM), the Bose High-End Sound Package, and Xenon Headlamp Package. It was acquired from its original owner in 2011 at just 22k miles and has been driven sparingly ever since while also undergoing an engine-out clutch and IMS bearing service. Now showing just over 31k miles, this 996 is being offered for auction by its second owner out of Texas.
This 996 is finished in Black with a matching cabriolet top, optional Bi-Xenon headlights, and 18” light alloy Carrera wheels with colored Porsche center crests. A small aftermarket carbon fiber wing has been added to the rear spoiler and the finish is described to have been carefully preserved using high-quality detailing products. A small hairline crack was also repaired on the lower left windshield, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black leather interior came factory equipped with the optional Power Seat and Bose High-End Sound Packages as well as automatic climate control and a Porsche CDR-23 radio as standard equipment. Aftermarket aluminum pedal covers have been added along with black carpet “PORSCHE” logo floor mats. All gauges and accessories are reported to be fully functional, although the driver’s seat makes a grinding noise when moved back or forth. The hood and decklid struts are also recommended for replacement.
A 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Optional Porsche Stability Management (PSM) came equipped from the factory and an aftermarket K&N air intake has been installed for increased sound and performance. An engine-out service completed in 2015 within the last 3k miles included the installation of a new clutch and IMS bearing. The battery was replaced twice under current ownership and new cylinders were installed for the cabriolet top mechanism at 28k miles.
This sale will include the original owner’s manuals and a clean title.

@Adoptagreatpet Yes, I would. I think the hood and deck lid struts can be bought for pretty cheap ( I saw some on Amazon for about $25-$30 apiece from several vendors including Pelican Parts) and I think they can just slide in. I'll be happy to ask my mechanic about the seat. Bear in mind, the seat did this 11 yrs ago when I bought the car and he told me he "wouldn't mess with it" as it could last "forever" like that and, after 11 yrs, it hasn't become any worse. Hello. I love this car and hate to see her go, but I hardly ever drive it and, as I get older and fatter, I drive it even less. Time for someone else to enjoy it. My third 911, and they’ve all been great cars.
