Up for auction is this 2004 Porsche 996 Turbo Cabriolet finished in Polar Silver Metallic over a classic black full leather interior.  Featuring the legendary 3.6 L twin-turbo GT1-derived Mezger engine and a 6-speed manual transmission, this Turbo is a highly coveted example of what is fast becoming one of the most desirable water-cooled 911’s on the market.  This example was sold new in Michigan in 2003 and eventually made its way to Lexington, KY where it is currently being offered by the seller with 35k miles on the odometer.

The exterior of this Turbo is said to remain in excellent condition with only minor road going wear including a small scratch on the rear passenger fender.  The seller notes that the black composite front chin spoiler has been replaced with a new piece.  The Polar Silver Metallic paint accentuates the unmistakably aggressive stance of the wide body 996 Turbo.  This example is optioned with a power-activated black cloth soft top and a color matched Polar Silver Metallic hardtop.  Factory exterior options include a retractable rear wing, red brake calipers, and 18” factory 996 Turbo II wheels with new Michelin Pilot Sport tires.  The seller notes a small ding is present on the passenger side rear wheel lip.  The marks are catalogued in the attached gallery.

This Turbo features a dignified black full leather interior that remains all-original and in excellent condition.  The seats have reportedly been well-maintained throughout the car’s life.  Commanding an original MSRP of $134k, this example is complemented by a handful of desirable factory options including:

This vehicle comes with extensive maintenance records dating back to 2007 and is reported to be in excellent mechanical condition.  The seller notes that a full compression leak-down and over-rev test have been performed when the car was purchased in 2019. Additionally, the Porsche recommended 30k service (rear bumper off) was performed by a Porsche dealer in March 2019.

Included in the sale of this well preserved 996 Turbo are 2 sets of keys, service records, and a Carfax report confirming this vehicle’s accident-free history.  Also included in the sale is a factory aluminum stand used to hold the hardtop when not in use.
