DT: 25k-Mile 2004 Ferrari 360 Spider F1

Up for auction is this 2004 Ferrari 360 Spider finished in Rosso Scuderia. Featuring an F1 6-speed automated manual gearbox, an upgraded Capristo exhaust, and a classic tan interior with Daytona seats, this 360 Spider is currently under the care of its second owner who has carried out recent maintenance including an oil change, clutch replacement, and a new set of tires.  Currently showing just over 25k miles on the odometer, this final model year 360 Spider is being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.

The Pininfarina-designed bodywork is finished in the uncommon shade of Rosso Scuderia, a bright red color named after Ferrari’s Formula 1 team and featured on the single-seater race cars between 2003-2007.  Clear paint protection film has been applied over the nose along with removable Shell logos in front of the rear wheels and a Ferrari badge on the rear grille.  Additional images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.  This Spider features Scuderia shields on the front fenders, a Challenge-style rear grille, red brake calipers, and 18” modular BBS wheels that are said to have been dressed in brand new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S within the last 50 miles.

Inside, you will find a tan leather interior showcasing desirable Daytona seats with brown inserts.  The cabin is accented by aluminum door sill guards, drilled aluminum pedals, a drilled aluminum passenger footrest, and a black leather dashboard with decorative stitching.  The original Ferrari-branded radio remains in place and the seller reports all gauges, electronics, and accessories to be fully functional.

The mid-mounted 3.6 L DOHC V8 engine features dry-sump lubrication and an output of up to 400 HP and 276 lb.-ft of torque stock.  The rear wheels are driven by way of an F1 6-speed automated manual gearbox that can be left in automatic mode or manually operated with the shift paddles mounted on the steering column.  An upgraded Capristo exhaust system has been installed and the seller reports that the clutch has been replaced within the last 500 miles.  An oil change has also been recently carried out in preparation for sale and the owner is said to have performed all routine maintenance as needed.

This sale will include the original toolkit and a clean title. With its eye-catching Rosso Scuderia finish,  traditional Daytona seats, and glorious mid-mounted V8 engine, this 360 Spider may very well be the Ferrari you've been searching for.

@GerardAndre Thanks for the info. Did the mechanic share what specific work was done and when (mileage), mainly the timing belts and engine mounts.

  • GerardAndre (seller) 2 weeks, 6 daysago

@dkpero Sure, don’t have and service records, only some photos. Service was done by a family friend and was paid in cash, no receipt. The mechanic is the best of the best and specializes in ferraris and Italian sports cars. Service has always been performed on time and car is maintained perfectly.

Can you answer about the last major service and timing belts and motor mounts? Thanks!

Beautiful 360! When and at what mileage was the last major service done and what was included in it? Timing Belts?
Do you have maintenance records that you can share?
Where the motor mounts / frames been replaced yet?

    Thanks and Good luck!

@Airheadslash2 The shell stickers are removable, they’re just there because it fits well with the Formula 1 scuderia red aesthetic that’s all. Removable stickers.

  • Airheadslash2 (registered bidder) 3 weeksago

@GerardAndre The "shell" decals on side skirts, are those just standard stickers that could be removed? Or something more complex. Beautiful car!

@dkpero good question lol because I know exactly what you’re talking about. There is no “sticky” on any of the switches and seals anywhere.

How's the dash? Any of the typical Ferrari "sticky" from degrading material?

  • GerardAndre (seller) 3 weeksago

@TheManwiththePlan It of course all depends where the bid is at when the auction ends, if I will accept it or not.

  • TheManwiththePlan (registered bidder) 3 weeksago

What happens if the bids don’t meet the reserve? Will you work with the highest bidder to see what a viable cost option is?

@Cirorsi I do not have any videos or sound clips of the car… But the raw Ferrari v8 sounds great with the Capristo exhaust system, I can promise you that. The clutch work was performed by a family friend’s shop who specializes in Ferrari’s and Italian sport cars.

  • Cirorsi 3 weeks, 3 daysago

@GerardAndre Do you have any sound clips at idle and or driving it? Who performed the clutch work? Beautiful car.
