Up for auction is this 2004 Mercedes-Benz S500 4MATIC finished in Pewter Metallic over an Ash grey leather interior with burl walnut trim. Carrying a robust 5.0 L V8 engine and a long list of driver luxuries, this W220 was purchased at an original sticker price of over $92k from Prestige Mercedes in Paramus NJ, and is said to have remained under the care of the original owner up until the seller’s recent purchase in 2020 at 81k miles. The original owner reportedly used this S-Class as a summer vehicle while always being garage kept and stored away during the winter. Said to be in very good cosmetic and mechanical condition, this S500 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York with approximately 87k miles showing on the odometer.
Having been garage kept for most of its life, the Pewter Metallic finish is said to be in great shape with some minor scratches recently addressed by the seller which required the refinishing of the lower parts of the passenger-side doors. The seller notes a scratch remaining on the left rear corner, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with a clean CARFAX. Exterior features include Bi-Xenon headlights and 17” 7-spoke light-alloy wheels. An invoice from 2018 shows four new Michelin Premier all-season tires to have been purchased at 72k miles.
Occupants are seated in a luxurious Ash grey Nappa leather interior with burl walnut trim. Amenities include Distronic Autonomous Intelligent Cruise Control, handsfree communication, automatically dimming mirrors, a glass electric sunroof, an electric roller blind for the rear window, heated front seats, and a premium Harman Kardon Logic 7 Surround-Sound System. This W220 is equipped with a 5.0 L V8 engine that sends 339 lb.-ft of torque and over 300 HP to all four wheels through a driver adaptive 5-speed automatic transmission and a 4MATIC AWD system. Airmatic suspension is also equipped as standard on this model along with an Adaptive Damping System (ADS). Service is said to have been carried out through Mercedes dealers up until 2012 with the rest of the maintenance addressed through CIM Motorsports in Central Valley, NY. A collection of maintenance records is provided for reference in the photo gallery including a 2020 invoice for over $2,300 which details the replacements of the battery, suspension compressor, automatic transmission filter, CV boots, and more.

These key with the particular S500 is it has not been messed with No accidents low ownership and well maintained over the years. These are a real bargain compared to far lesser cars on the road. They are comfy and safe a real flagship of a sedan.

I have a few connections to a few Transporters as well.
I can work with the winner however is needed.

I would think this would be a great 2nd or 3 car for that family that moved out of NYC due to the Pandemic and needed a Large car with large trunk and all wheel drive. Cost will not set you back much and will be a car that has some character and class.

@Silver930 beautiful example. Nice to see one in it’s original glory without fake AMG badges and aftermarket chrome stickers on the pillars. I’ll get the bidding started.
One cool thing on this car is it has very comfy seats. Beautiful Ash light grey leather that does not get Hot in the Summer like a black interior car.
Also the BOSE sound system from the factory the quality is really amazing .

Im sure blue tooth can be put in at any place to modernize that.
The air suspension had a Lift up mode to get high ground clearance.
It also has 3 setting for driving.

2. Sport 1
3. Sport 3 that really tightens car up and lowers it down for smooth tight roads.
The motor runs great and has been taken care of with only High Octane 91 or higher fuel its whole life.
Only synthetic oil done at MB Dealer and or the shop you see on invoices.
Please look over the Clean carfax you can get a good idea on this cars 17 or so years.
She is aging gracefully in this really gorgeous Color combo of Pewter over Ash grey.

I have enjoyed this car under my own ownership for the last 7,000 miles in addition I have driven this car since it was new in 2004. I happen to work for the original owner and personally drove this car for him on many occasions. Later in cars life I actually was in charge to keep car in good running order and personally was responsible to have car serviced. When I was asked to help sell the car I offered to buy it and I have enjoyed it since last spring but the Covid situation has kind of forced me to makes some shift in cars and here it is for bidding.
