We are pleased to present this very special 2005 Ford GT finished in Mark IV Red with White racing stripes over black leather interior.  Introduced in 2005, this mid-engine GT was built during Ford’s 100th anniversary, drawing visual inspiration from the famed Ford GT40 race car.  This outstanding example was purchased in 2012 by its first-registered and current owner with just 300 miles on the odometer.  Since then, this Ford GT has been equipped with over $60k in personalized and subtle upgrades which make this truly a one-of-a-kind example.  It is now available for auction out of Illinois showing 946 miles on the odometer.

This Ford GT is finished in Mark IV Red with optional factory white racing stripes.  Rest assured knowing that the vehicle’s entire exterior has been preserved in Xpel paint protection film.  In 2014, the GT Guys based out of Michigan helped the seller fill a desire to make this a truly unique example.  At a cost of approximately $15K, custom fitted butterfly doors, designed specifically for the Ford GT by Guerin, have been installed allowing for better entry and egress from the cabin along with an eye-catching aesthetic.  The seller has also commissioned a rear bumper delete and rear tow hook, though the tow hook has reportedly never been used. The vehicle rides on the factory upgraded 10-spoke BBS-manufactured Ford Racing wheels, which are wrapped in Goodyear F1 tires.

Inside, you will find a black leather interior that features factory Sparco seats with custom white stitching and custom billet aluminum inserts.  Additional modifications include a new driver’s seat bracket allowing more adjustment, upgraded interface and speaker system with relocated subwoofer behind the seats, and custom floormats.  All accessories are said to be in working order.

Power comes from a robust 5.4 L supercharged 8-cylinder engine that is capable of making approximately 700 HP thanks to a newly installed pulley and tune kit.  This power is delivered to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission and allows this GT to reach top speeds of over 205 MPH.  A true crossover exhaust system has also been installed.  Receipts of work performed will be included with the sale.

The sale of this vehicle includes 2 keys, original books, original window sticker and receipts of work performed. If you are looking for a low-mileage, truly unique Ford GT, this is the one.

@Dozer yes the paint is original and the recalls have been serviced.

This is a very pristine low mileage GT. I have put over $65,000 into extra options to make this a very special GT with 700 HSP. Someone is asking if I can get all the original parts back from the GT guys who did all the modifications. I’m sure I could get some or all the items back. My opinion is if you are looking for a plain original car, then search for your preference. There are many original cars out there. I put allot of effort into all these outstanding upgrades.
I forgot to mention the K-40 360 degree coverage with laser defuser radar detector at a cost of $2,500. It is completely concealed around the vehicle so it is not visible.

Is the paint all original? Do you have the original McIntosh radio? Were the recalls for the air bags and axle shaft completed? Thanks.

Do you have the original equipment that was removed from the car to preform the modifications?

Please send a video of the door operation. Opening the door, getting in the car, and closing the door while seated in the drivers and passenger seat. It is a cool upgrade, but need to see if practical. Also, are the removed hinges etc. available to put the doors back to stock ?

Absolutely love these. There is no way I can afford it but I can at least say I put in the first bid on one. Amazing and beautiful car. Would be a dream. Hope the auction works out well for you!
