Finished in Carmon Red Metallic over Graphite Grey full leather upholstery, this 2005 Porsche 996 Turbo Cabriolet pairs a desirable 6-speed manual transmission with its 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six. Configured at an MSRP of just over $164k, it features 18” GT3 wheels, stainless steel exhaust pipes, the Dark Wood Interior Package, a Dark Wood rear center console, additional Dark Wood interior appointments, and Custom Tailoring (special wishes that require further communication). Originally delivered at the Porsche factory in Germany through Porsche’s Tourist Delivery Program, this rare final-year Turbo was previously listed on PCARMARKET and is being offered for auction out of Michigan with approximately 42k miles on the odometer.
The 996 Turbo is set apart from a contemporary 911 Carrera by its wider fenders, bumpers, rocker panel flares, integrated side air intakes, and speed-activated rear spoiler. This Cabriolet is finished in Carmon Red Metallic with a black soft top, optional stainless steel exhaust pipes, and 18” GT3 wheels with colored Porsche center crests. The wheels have been powder-coated in black and the tires show production date codes from 2022. The seller notes a couple of minor paint imperfections on the car and that professional detailing was performed in the spring of 2024. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin presents Graphite Grey full leather upholstery complemented by the optional Dark Wood Interior Package and a matching 3-spoke steering wheel, rear center console, and Dark Wood and Aluminum shifter and brake handles. Other options include Porsche-crested headrests, a Turbo-embossed storage compartment lid, metal door sills with model insignias, and Graphite Grey floor mats. Additional amenities include supple leather seats, front seat lumbar support, and front seat heating. The original head unit has also been replaced with a new Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) system.
Derived from the GT1 Le Mans car, this 996 Turbo is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine that produces up to 415 HP and 415 lb.-ft of torque stock. It has been upgraded with an aftermarket EVOMS air intake system for increased power and induction sound. A 6-speed manual transmission sends power to all four wheels and stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes and cross-drilled 330mm discs at each corner. The seller adds that a new clutch was installed within the last 3k miles, and all service items are up-to-date including an oil change and brake fluid flush performed in May at an authorized Porsche dealer.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This Carmon Red Metallic in a non-S Turbo is truly a rare find! This vehicle has had the best of care since new with only 41k+ miles. Delivered to original owner in Germany with photos of the original delivery! This vehicle is ready for a new home (drive it there!) as I just don't have time to enjoy it. The 996 Turbo is one of the most exhilarating vehicles to drive and I come home with a smile after each trip.”

@GeorgeD33 @GeorgeD33, @spartansix got it now, didn't realize there was a 3rd auction, still seems too low to me and I wouldn't sell this car for what is higher mile automatic money
@sdotmoto I was referring to the auction on BaT that ended 8/30 with a high bid of $45k.
Should have taken the money Toons! Riddick!
@GeorgeD33 disagree on the "nearly identical results" conclusion; last auction finished at nearly $52k with another offer of $58k post auction. Seems like the owner has adjusted their expectations but the bids didn't quite make it there today, hopefully a good steward emerges for this beauty

Thanks for your question. The spoiler deploys properly in both the automatic and manual modes. The convertible top goes up and down and there are no warning lights
I can see the spoiler deployed in some of the pictures. Does it deploy properly while driving? Are there any alarms for the spoiler?

Welcome to the auction on this beautiful 996 Turbo!! This car needs nothing and is ready to go. My research shows this to be the only 05 non-S Turbo Cabriolet in Carmon Red Metallic produced this year. This is the second try to sell this vehicle, I am a serious seller and the reserve has been reduced to insure the sale. Someone is going to get a great buy on this special Porsche!!!
