Equipped with a quad-turbocharged 8.0L W16 engine generating nearly 1,000 HP, the Bugatti Veyron was introduced in 2005 capable of reaching top speeds in excess of 253 MPH. This 2006 example is one of 252 Veyron 16.4 models produced in total and just 76 delivered to the United States. Chassis #42 is finished in Ferrari Rosso Dino and Black over a Coffee and Beige leather interior and was originally delivered through the Symbolic Motorcar Company of La Jolla, California. Benefitting from recent service and new Michelin specialty tires, this Veyron has traveled under 3k miles from new and is now being offered at auction by its seller out of California.

The Veyron's bodywork is constructed from aluminum and carbon fiber over a carbon fiber monocoque passenger safety cell. The exterior of this example is finished in Ferrari Rosso Dino (301) with a black hood, lower body, quarter panels, rear end, and roof. The Veyron is equipped with active aerodynamics including front diffuser flaps, a rear diffuser, variable ride height, and an active tail spoiler that automatically deploys at high speeds as an air brake. Details include twin aluminum rear intake snorkels, the signature Bugatti “horseshoe” front grille, exposed carbon fiber side skirts, an aluminum fuel door, aluminum door handles, xenon headlamps, LED taillights, a trapezoidal single exhaust outlet, and black brake calipers with white Bugatti script. The seller reports the front bumper has been refinished for cosmetic reasons and the entire vehicle has been treated with ceramic coating. The interior features carbon fiber-backed seats with Beige inserts and matching upholstery on the center console, door panels, and carpets. The dashboard as well as the rear portion of the center console, the steering wheel rim, gear shifter, door handles, door pockets, and seat bolsters are trimmed in Coffee leather, while Beige Alcantara lines the roof and rear bulkhead. The dashboard and center console feature machine-turned aluminum trim which houses a Bugatti analog clock, a leather-wrapped gear selector, climate controls, and the Burmester audio system. The instrument cluster sits behind a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel with magnesium paddle shifters and includes a center-mounted 8k-RPM tachometer, a 280-MPH speedometer, and auxiliary gauges for horsepower, fuel level, and coolant temperature. Amenities include automatic climate control, an additional key slot located to the left of the driver to unlock the vehicle's “top speed” configuration, Bluetooth connectivity, and magnesium and aluminum turn signal stalks.

Designed by Volkswagen, the 8.0L W16 includes two cylinder banks in a 15-degree V-configuration with four turbochargers, two intercoolers, twin intake manifolds, and a dynamic fuel injection system. Up to 987 HP and 922 lb.-ft of torque are delivered to each wheel by a Ricardo 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, allowing the Veyron 16.4 to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in just 2.5 seconds with a top speed of 253 MPH. The engine and gearbox feature a dry-sump lubrication system, and 10 heat exchangers provide cool air to the cooling system, intercoolers, rear differential, and air conditioning. Performance features include an adaptive hydraulic suspension system. carbon-ceramic AP Racing brakes, and active aerodynamics. The seller reports this Veyron received a complete service in October of 2021, and an additional annual service including air conditioning maintenance will be completed prior to sale.
