This 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera 4S Cabriolet is finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a Black full leather interior and is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission sending power to all four wheels from a 3.8-liter flat-six engine. At an original sticker price of over $119k, it was optioned with Sport Chrono Package Plus, heated Adaptive Sport Seats, Porsche-crested headrests, the Carbon Package, a carbon fiber center console, illuminated carbon fiber door sills, painted air vent slats, 19” Carrera Sport wheels, and Bose High-End Sound Package. The car has also been fitted with an OEM short shifter, an upgraded IPD intake plenum, an 82mm throttle body, a Fabspeed cold air intake, a Fabspeed exhaust, and an ECU tune. Showing just over 17k miles on the odometer, this Carrera 4S is now being offered for auction out of Texas.
Featuring wider bodywork than a standard Carrera, this 4S Cabriolet is finished in Seal Grey Metallic with a black convertible top and rides on optional 19” Carrera Sport wheels. Equipment includes bi-xenon headlights, rain-sensing wipers, power heated mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and red Porsche-branded brake calipers. Aftermarket chrome exhaust tips have been installed along with Rennline mesh grille screens. The seller notes clear paint protection film has been applied over the front end and a small scratch is present on the PPF over the nose. The driver’s side fender also shows a higher paint meter reading. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Black full leather interior features optional Carbon Package trim, heated Adaptive Sport Seats with Porsche-crested headrests, a Porsche-crested storage compartment lid, painted air vent slats and belt outlet trim, a carbon fiber center console, and illuminated carbon fiber door sills. Other equipment includes auto-diming mirrors, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a Sport Chrono dashboard stopwatch, the Bose High-End Sound Package, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), automatic climate control, cruise control, and aluminum Rennline pedal covers. An OEM short shifter was also installed along with an OEM satellite radio module in 2019.
The 3.8-liter flat-six engine was factory-rated at 355 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque and drives all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller indicates a performance ECU tune has been installed along with an IPD intake plenum, an 82mm throttle body, a Fabspeed cold air intake, and a Fabspeed exhaust. The original intake and exhaust are included in the sale. An oil change was completed in 2023, and a brake fluid flush was performed along with the replacement of the rear lid cover motor in 2024.
This sale will include the original intake and exhaust components, owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a car cover, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Extremely well equipped C4S with very high-end minor modifications.”

about an hour left on this amazing 2006 C4S cab with a manual shift. Bid with confidence this car is amazing.

Yeah, that's not a cold start video. Temperature is at 175 and RPM gage is just below 800 after the car is started. Sounds good though.
I have the same year/ model as this, and I had IMS failure 7 years ago. Was a good excuse to get an updated engine with GT3 parts in it. The percentage of IMS bearing failure is small, but there, nonetheless. If anyone is on the fence about it, there is an IMS solution kit that will feed oil onto the bearing, preventing potential failure.
@langsamfahren I am not aware of any fender bender, and the Fender looks great. the drivers fender gauges 6.5 and the rest of the car gauges 4.5-5.5. Could have been a scratch they repaired and shot, maybe just re-cleared? it is a very minor difference... There is clear bra on the front half of front-end as well.

@VikingH Thanks. A few more questions before the end of the auction. You mention "higher paint meter reading", what was the reading exactly, how much was it? It sounds like some body/paint work, do you know if a previous fender bender or something like that?
@langsamfahren I don't have any knowledge of the IMS bearing being done, But again its not needed in 2006's as I understand. yes original engine. don't know of any bore scoring. no leaks, no issues. car is a stud.
Bid in the amount of $29,000
@VikingH you mean the models have a better design but this specific car hasn’t done anything w.r.t. the IMS bearing, correct? Is there any known oil leak issue? Was there any borescoping done to check for bore score?
And to be 100% sure, the engine is the original one with 17k miles, no replacement and no issue?
Ims bearing's were upgraded in 2005 and 2006's had the more robust design.
Ims
Imd bearing, sorry
Was the bearing changed

good luck with the auction, this car looks awesome
@langsamfahren we utilize a dispatch system that has the lying share of transporters on it and we post the load and trucks in the area or heading that direction contact us to schedule.
@VikingH excellent, thanks! so probably 1500 since I'm close to SF. What shipper do you use?
@langsamfahren yes we ship 20-30 cars a month. simple. 1200 enclosed to la, 1500 enclosed to San Fran.
@VikingH just to double check, you'd be fine shipping the car to another state, in my case California? Are there trusted shippers you work with and can provide quotes for? Thanks!

@exvadoc looks and feels like 400 HP. which is what the previous owner told me.
What improvements in HP and performance did the Fabspeed mods accomplish?
@Whatever123 exhaust doesn't change now with sport on or off. this car has a multifunction steering wheel. other porsche wheels will adapt, but I would not change it if it were me.
Does the sport button still allow exhaust to be made a bit quieter? Also, I like the style of steering wheel on the 2006 you have at your dealership. Do you know if that style would adapt to this car? This car has functions on the wheel. Thanks!!
@Whatever123 wanted everyone to here the exhaust singing... such a joy to drive..
Finally a seller showing a real life driving video, and not driving like they’re going to church!!! Nice.
@Whatever123 they have been posted
@snowtx1 have not done a PPI, the car is extremely nice, runs and drives amazing. driving videos have been submitted.
Has there been any PPI or borescope done on this? Any other issues? Thx.
Any undercarriage photo's or video's coming?
