Now up for auction is this 2006 Porsche 997 Carrera finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a Stone Grey standard leather interior. Showing just over 66k miles on the odometer, this lifelong California car features the Bose High-End Sound Package, a Tiptronic S automatic transmission, a set of aftermarket 19” 5-double spoke wheels, and a modified extractor exhaust. This first-generation 997 Carrera is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California accompanied by original books, keys, and a clean title.
Finished in Seal Grey Metallic, the paint on this 997.1 is said to be in excellent condition and the front bumper is reported to have been professionally refinished following minor damage shown on CARFAX in 2014. This 997 is equipped with the Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package and rides on a set of aftermarket 19" 5-double spoke wheels finished in black and dressed in a mixed set of Hankook and Continental tires. Some curb rash can be seen on the wheels and the brake calipers have also been custom painted in yellow.
The Stone Grey standard leather interior is equipped from the factory with the Bose High-End Sound System, self-dimming mirrors, navigation for PCM, and the Power Seat Package. The interior is described to be in very nice condition with all gauges and accessories working properly.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 3.6 L flat-six engine rated at 325 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission that allows for a 0-60 time of approximately 5 seconds. A modified “extractor” exhaust is also said to have been equipped to provide a throaty roar under acceleration. This 997 is reported to be in excellent driving condition and all available service history is provided on CARFAX.

@bhmohio The IMS Bear ng on 2006 models shows to have a 1% failure rate.

As a PCA member since 1997 my love for Porsches began years before with my 1966 912 Coupe in 1971. Having owned and sold every Porsche model I could get my hands on I finally found one that incorporated the original feel along with higher tech, newer suspension characteristics and wide body handling.. so this one hit all my buttons. The sound of the exhaust and the stickyness of the tires are the most impressive features I enjoy. Creature comforts like A/C, Tip-tronic are nice to have too.
