Now available for auction is this 2006 Porsche 987 Cayman S finished in Seal Grey Metallic over a black interior with leather Sport Seats. Marking the inaugural year of the Cayman, this top-range 3.4L S-model was configured at an original sticker price of over $65k with options including a Sport steering wheel, the Sport Chrono Package, Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package, and the Bose Surround Sound System. This 987 was purchased by the seller as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from Hennessy Porsche of Atlanta in 2012 and has since been fitted with 19” SportDesign wheels, a four-piece TechArt aerokit, and upgraded high-flow exhaust pipes. It had also undergone a major service and clutch replacement within the last 15k miles. Showing approximately 126k miles on the odometer, this Cayman S is now being offered for auction by its owner out of Florida.
This 987 is finished in Seal Grey Metallic and sports bodywork influenced by historic Porsche racing cars including the 904 and 550 Coupe. Clear European-style side markers have been installed along with a four-piece TechArt aerokit including side skirts and front and rear spoilers. Clear stone guards are in place ahead of the rear wheel arches and the headlights have received a tinted 3M film. Small imperfections are noted on the front spoiler and the seller describes the finish to remain well presented apart from some light swirl marks and minor blemishes. Inside, you will find a black interior with heated leather Sport Seats, automatic climate control, and the Sport Chrono Package. Other factory options include a Sport steering wheel and the Bose Surround Sound System. Signs of wear are present on the seats and steering wheel, and the seller adds that the headliner has been replaced. A set of new black Porsche floor mats have been fitted and a Porsche 6-disc CD changer has been added to the factory sound system.
This 987 is equipped with a mid-mounted 3.4L flat-six engine rated at 295 HP and 251 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission and stopping power is handled by 4-piston disc brakes at all four corners. This example was optioned with the Sport Chrono Package Plus which allows the driver to adjust engine performance and handling characteristics with the press of a button. BC Velocity high flow Dream 2 exhaust tailpipes have also been installed for a deeper tone. The CARFAX report highlights services dating back as far as 2006 and the seller notes that a major service was completed at 111,710 miles including a new clutch, drive belts, spark plugs, transmission service, and brake fluid flush. Routine oil changes have been kept up to date and records are said to be available dating back to the owner’s purchase in 2012. The brakes were last serviced at 80k miles and the seller recommends the next brake service to be carried out within the next 10k miles.

I did check the bumper and there are 6. One was a bug I picked up on the drive video. He has been removed. All 987 Caymans have the indentions if you look close. You get the hole if you mount the plate holder
The holes were on the front bumper when I purchased the car back in 2012. They line up with the european front plate holder as see in picture # 49. I do not know why someone put it on, its a USA car.
I see 7-8 holes across front bumper. What is reason for them all?
I will be available all day Friday for any questions you may have. There are no leaks and the car has had 13 oil changes during my 65k ownership . The fog lights also have clear 3m film protecting them. I have all the paper work since I have owned it and will go to the new owner. The original exhuast tail pipes and second set of new Porsche floor mats in black are included. The water pump has been replaced during my ownership. Hope this info will be helpful.
