If you mean walk-around video of the car, have not done that. I have numerous Vbox in car videos from Cresson and Cota. I am traveling, and would not be able to upload as they are on different laptop. Vbox is fully functioning.

When I lived in the Houston area, it was serviced by Drivers Source. Since mid 2018, have had service at TOPP Racing, Soulspeed, and most recently Esses Racing.

    Have you got any video?

It has never given me any problems, or I would have fixed it.

  • raider89 (seller) 3 years, 5 monthsago

I truly wish that I knew engine time/mileage, but no idea. Was told low mileage 2007, but no idea. I think clutch and flywheel likely from RS1 conversion, but maybe KY guy, unlikely the TX guy.

  • raider89 (seller) 3 years, 5 monthsago

Understand, but I honestly have no idea what all the requirements are for TX state inspection: emissions, horn, exhaust, etc. This car is full race suspension, lowered and extremely rigid. You would feel every bump in the road. If you are talking about Cota, can always have flat bed haul it for $150 each way, I have few friends that do that.

  • msandford74 (registered bidder) 3 years, 5 monthsago

Thank you for the past history on the car. What is your best guess on how many miles the engine has on it?
When the engine was swapped, is that when the clutch, pressure plate and fly wheel were supposedly replaced?
    Thank you for your time

@raider89 what's missing to make this streetable in TX? I'm semi-local to you (Austin) and would be interested provided I can drive to/from track (not ready for a tow rig).

RS1 purchased the car with a salvage title for the race car build. I was told by RS1 in subsequent conversation that the wreck was minimal, and only on front end, with no issues or damage to cabin or drivetrain. Thus, I would not have any of those records. Here is the story I got from the previous owner, plus talking to the owner of RS1 one weekend, plus finding old sale listings on the internet.
-RS1 purchased the 2006 Cayman S with a salvage title from Oregon. Mileage was 46,418 on the Oregon red salvage title which I have. RS1 built the track car fully.
-RS1 sold the car with a 3.6L engine to someone in Kentucky in late 2015. He did something to the engine and replaced it with a new crate 3.4L prior to selling to a guy in TX in mid 2016.
-The guy in TX bought and sold numerous cars to support his racing habit. He bought this 2006 with a "new engine" and also bought a 2007 Cayman similar prepped race car. He wanted to keep the 2007, so swapped engines from the 2007 before selling because he wanted the new engine. Supposedly, the 2007 was a low mileage conversion to a race car.
-With all the above, the data from the ECU (or the DME report) is pretty worthless with so many engines.
-The best value is how the car runs today: analyzed over my ~4 year ownership, dynoed and leak test several years ago, and ongoing engine oil analysis via Blackstone. All indicating all is still well thus far.

Hi, do you have any info on the crash repair work? Any receipts showing what was done?
    Thank you for your time

  • raider89 (seller) 3 years, 5 monthsago

This is a fully developed race/track car originally built by RS1 for racing. I personally do no race, only use car for HPDE fun track weekends as a hobby (expensive hobby). It is purpose built for racing, not street legal.

  • raider89 (seller) 3 years, 5 monthsago

It does not have log books. It does have detailed records of all maintenance, weekend events and performance, etc since my ownership beginning Sep2016.

I am not sure if I understand your comment about race ready. The car is ready to hit the track immediately, there are no known deficiencies or things requiring maintenance to my knowledge. I have spent a fortune upkeeping this car to the highest standard during my ownership, making numerous improvements. As a reminder, I just put in the full VBox HD2 data/camera system last year ($3,000+).

  • maxpower (registered bidder) 3 years, 5 monthsago

does this have any logbooks from PCA, SCCA? if not, is the build race ready, or more of a track only car as is?

    A few things for clarification:
CarFax report shows a few owners prior to conversion to full non-street legal race/track car. The information shown after 2013 is not complete. The original Porsche build sheet is for reference only as the track car does not have those options any more after conversion.

  • raider89 (seller) 3 years, 5 monthsago

Welcome, thanks for looking. This has been and continues to be an amazing track car. It is immediately ready for the next track weekend of fun, even with brand new set of tires.
