Making its debut in 2006, the 987 offers legendary handling thanks to its mid-mounted engine. This 2007 Porshce 987 Cayman S is finished in Black over a Stone Gray leather interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its 3.4-liter flat-six engine. This Cayman was delivered new to Porsche of Omaha, Nebraska, and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania showing approximately 12k miles on the odometer.

The Cayman S is distinguishable from the entry-level model by its red-painted brake calipers and dual exhaust tips. Finished in Black, this 987 rides on optional 19” Turbo wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires showing date codes from 2006 and 2017. Equipment includes fog lights, quarter-panel intakes, and a speed-dependent rear spoiler. The seller notes paint chips on the front bumper. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, this Cayman features Stone Gray leather upholstery with matching floor mats and the optional power seat package. Equipment includes a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, air conditioning, a rear cargo net, power windows and locks, a CD stereo, and cruise control. The seller notes that the center stack climate control switches show wear.

Powered by a mid-mounted 3.4-liter flat-six engine, the Cayman S sends up to 295 HP and 251 lb.-ft. of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH is achievable in less than 5 seconds, while 4-piston brakes with cross-drilled discs at each corner are standard. The CARFAX report lists 8 service history records.

This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a window sticker, and some documentation.

@por356c There have been MANY crashes that were specifically linked to old tires. The 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that Paul Walker was killed as a passenger, had only 3,500 miles on it and the tires were original - but the car was 9 years old. The guy driving the car, Roger Rodas, was an experienced Rally driver and the turn and speed, while illegal, would have been easily negotiated if the tires hadn't failed.
If the tires are older than 6 years, or have leaks, even a slow leak - you are asking for trouble. And the more aggressively or faster you drive, the more dangerous. As por356c stated - tires are cheap compared to ones life!!

I have almost the same car. Mine is an '08, however it is an automatic, however it has quite a few more options and also low miles. Driving these is so much fun it is kind of like a motorcycle with a roof on it and you can just dart in and out of traffic and in and out of parking spaces and all around town. It is the ultimate two-person motorcycle. Highly recommend it If you have never owned one. I have owned three. Depending on how this sells maybe I should consider selling mine, haha?

I recently acquired an 08 Cayman S to accompany my 09 Targa 4S. I can tell you that the manual Cayman is an absolute blast to drive and is so well-balanced. This looks like a beautiful example that deserves to be in the mid 30s IMO... Good luck to the seller and congratulations to whoever ends up with this croc!

Great looking example. May throw my hat in the ring for this one.

Is this the same one that just went on Bring-a-Trailer?

What a great car with so few miles - a real gem for the winner. If this Cayman is going to be driven any serious distance, the 2006 tires must be replaced and the 2017 only have about one more year left, due to age. It doesn't matter how much tread is left, or how good they look, or how much sun they see or don't see, age is always the culprit and 7-8 years is the max. I am in the rubber business - not the tire business. Cost to replace them is cheap insurance. GLWA!
