Marking the inaugural year for the 997-generation Porsche 911 Turbo, this 2007 example was ordered in Atlas Grey Metallic over a two-tone Black and Stone Grey interior featuring the rare Makassar Wood Package, Adaptive Sport Seats, the Sport Chrono Package Turbo, and a 6-speed manual transmission.  It was sold new in Minnesota at an original sticker price of over $128k and has since been upgraded with an aftermarket Fabspeed Power Package including exhaust headers, high-flow cats, an X-pipe muffler system, and a Cobb performance tuner.  This Turbo Coupe is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Minnesota showing approximately 33k miles on the odometer.

This Turbo comes finished in Atlas Grey Metallic with red brake calipers and features added model designations on each door in silver as well as a set of Fuchs-style 19” wheels with colored Porsche crests and Michelin Pilot Sport tires from 2020.  A small scuff is noted atop the passenger front fender, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a full CARFAX report showing minor front end damage in 2017.

The cabin is appointed with optional two-tone Black and Stone Grey leather accented by rare Makassar trim on the dashboard, handbrake, and gear knob. An upgraded Kenwood touchscreen head unit has been installed in place of the original PCM. Only minor signs of wear are noted by the driver’s inner door handle and a complete list of factory options is provided below:

  • 425      Rear Window Wiper
  • 640      Sport Chrono Package Turbo
  • 801      Makassar Package
  • 970      Bicolor Interior Instructions
  • BK        Black/Stone Grey Interior
  • E7        Atlas Grey Metallic
  • M6A    Black Mats - Porsche lettering
  • P01      Adaptive Sport Seats

Derived from the legendary 911 GT1 Le Mans race car, the 997 Turbo features a 3.6L twin-turbocharged flat-six Mezger engine producing as much as 480 HP and 460 lb.-ft of torque stock.  All four wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission.  The optional Sport Chrono package is equipped along with an aftermarket Fabspeed Power Package including upgraded exhaust headers, high-flow 200-cell catalytic converters, an X-pipe muffler system, carbon fiber air intake, and Cobb tuner.  An engine-out service had reportedly been carried out by a Porsche dealer under prior ownership to address a coolant pipe leak, and the seller states service performed at 30,342 miles included all new fluids, filters, and drive belts.  The horn and battery have also been recently replaced, although a battery fault light is still present on the dashboard which needs to be cleared via computer.

This sale will include the original owner's manuals and a clean title.

    @vengerider @Sberger6 : oooolala!!! Very nice, those GenV ACR-E are amazing. I have an 08 ACR-X, 97 GTS with Nth Moto build 1300whp build and a 2001 GTS with a custom TT 900whp setup.
    The 911 does not come with stock parts. Unfortunately my seller did not have so I was not able to collect. The dealer had done the installation and they scrapped all of it.

  • vengerider (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

    Yes, I've got a 2016 GTC 1 of 1.

    One question, do any original parts come with the car?

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @vengerider @Sberger6 : yes sir. A 2017 ACR-E. A very low mileage one that was in for some work.

  • vengerider (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

    Is that a Viper staring into the reflection?! I've got one too!

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    Tomorrows the day… if anyone has any last minute questions, please feel free to ask and I’ll answer.
    Any pics needed, I will take tomorrow am.
    On standby here for all. Thank you and happy bidding folks.

  • marcromano 2 yearsago

    I will be very surprised if this 911 turbo with this mileage doesn't hit at the very least $100 - 120K. Jim Barry chime in on the value of this auto. Your word is gospel.

    @AJsGarage AJ, thanks very much for doing the work and getting the pics posted-it goes a long way in my book. I’m going to try to get some sort of quote to know what I’m looking at to get the front bumper sorted. I’ll be back, but more than likely someone in a “front-plate” state won’t care as much as others. I understand why it was done, but man it was a crude way to do it-seems like there has to be some sort of easy clip instead. And yes, I know you had nothing to do with it.

    Cheers

    @vengerider @Sberger6 : yes I sure can. I’ll be at my shop later tonight and will snap those pics.

  • vengerider (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

    AJsGarage Thanks for submitting those pictures. Could you also provide better pictures of the driver's seat bolsters both top and bottom? There is only 1 visible picture through the passenger side and it looks a little beat up. Very hard to tell.

  • marcromano 2 yearsago

    @AJsGarage I get it.

    It's a beautiful Porsche. And loving the wheels. I'll keep saying it.

    Easy to fix the bumper. If I didn't already have one I'd offer $100K now. Worth it with that mileage. It's an investment, not an expense.

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @marcromano thank you. I’ll let the new buyer determine what to do… I personally would never have drilled the bumper and I ONLY run rear plates. But this one, it was done prior to my ownership and it is what it is.

  • marcromano 2 yearsago

    @AJsGarage It's a great Porsche. I love it. I would just fix the front end.

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @doboy017 there are two holes for the plate “mount” and then someone put the screws in for the top of the license plate which ALSO went into the bumper.
    Hence 4 holes. Otherwise front end is clean.
    If those holes bother you, you can certainly buy bumper plugs, get the front bumper re-shot or simply put plate back on.

  • doboy017 (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

    @AJsGarage
    I see the bracket and top two screws used in pic 32 to secure license plate. Why are there 4 holes? Did they put threaded grommets in the holes or just use course threaded screws? The holes look concerning like only a course threaded screw was used.

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @marcromano man, if this car is not for you you can just stop with a negative comments! Nobody cares this much that it’s got a front plate on it. The four holes that are drilled into it or for the front plate. Otherwise the front end is immaculate. If you don’t like it then win the auction and go paint the front end. Problem solved

  • marcromano 2 yearsago

    @cubfan now that the plates removed in new pics, take a look at what that front bumper looks like.
    wtf is that?

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @doboy017 : unfortunately I cannot bc all the BIDDERS here have requested I remove it. ?

  • marcromano 2 yearsago

    @AJsGarage I had the same situation. The dealer agreed to black out the previous owners name so all I saw was the service info. The previous owners name, phone # and address is the only proprietary information on the documents.

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @marcromano ; I called the dealer and requested the documents but since I am NOT the original owner of those service tickets, they are not willing to print for me. HOWEVER, I do have an inside guy at the dealer who will try to print for me. So stay tuned on that.

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @cubfan : Again, i agree, that drilling the front plate is ridiculous but this is the state law and the last owner bought it from the dealer. They are bound by the law to do so. So it is what it is. Absolutely nothing I can do about it.
    I did take pics of the place and holder removed, they were uploaded to the album so you will see what it looks like.

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @zollerm : The Fabspeed website says about 500whp and 500 wtq with this combination. Or 74whp and 78wtq gains over stock. Of course their tune is very underrated and you could probably extract more from it with a proper dyno tune.

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @vengerider @Sberger6 : pics were taken and uploaded. Will wait for PCar rep to load in here.

  • doboy017 (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

    Leave the license plate on I’ll need it here in MN!

  • doboy017 2 yearsago

    Bid in the amount of $60,000

  • marcromano 2 yearsago

    It's a beautiful 911 turbo inside and out. Wish I had it but already have one.

    New owners gonna love it.

  • marcromano 2 yearsago

    @AJsGarage Have them black out the owners name and copy the service records. You can then post them or atleast say they are available.

  • marcromano 2 yearsago

    @cubfan YES!

  • cubfan (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

    Please remove the front license plate and post pics. The "drill" comment is no bueno, this is from a potential buyer that doesn't require front plates.

    no pics=no more bids from me.

    thanks

  • cubfan 2 yearsago

    Bid in the amount of $50,000

  • marcromano 2 yearsago

    @AJsGarage I already own it.

    Just saying you should have removed the plate and put plugs in the holes.

    You know how D Jacobsen always talks about the photos, the photos, the photos? He's right. The visual presentation is critical. With these auctions, all we have is a visual. We can't drive it, sit in it, feel it. We can only see it.

    This 911 you have listed is wonderful. Love the colors, the mechanics. I would love to own it as a second 911.

    Next time, remove the front plate. And good luck with this. Whoever gets it will love it. As long as they don't put a front plate on it. Cheers.

  • zollerm (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

    Sir, how much HP now with the Cobb tune? Thanks.

  • vengerider (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

    @AJsGarage Can you take close up photos of the impact areas behind the wheels, in front of the rear wheel (where the stone guard is), and the leading edge of the hood. Very hard to tell what that wear looks like. Thank you.

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @marcromano bc the front plate was drilled into bumper to be legal in our state… THATS why you won’t bid!?!? That’s a first for me. No worries man, I’m sure the perfect 911 is out there for ya.

  • marcromano 2 yearsago

    @zollerm young boy to you old man.

    I just care about the presentation more than you.

    That's why I won't bid on this car. Good luck old man.

  • zollerm (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

    @marcromano Well one must assume that you are extraordinarily lucky or that you are a scofflaw. Abiding by the laws, whether they be traffic or otherwise is what separates us from the animals old boy.

  • marcromano 2 yearsago

    @AJsGarage But you're trying to sell this. Presentation is everything.
    Front plates are also required in NY State.
    But I would never put one on my 911 and I never had one on 5 previous BMW's.
    If a cop wants to pull me over for not having a front plate, he needs to get a different job... like doing security in a mall. Sometimes you just gotta say F it.

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @bamaboy473
    Most of your questions are answered in the ad
    I do not have service records for the past 5 years but the dealer local to me has serviced it and has on hand. Will not give to me bc it’s private information and that’s a law. But they did tell me the car was maintained by them and it’s a very nice example.

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @gregacotton
    Yep, just got it cleared today when I got the DME over rev report. Wanted to use a Durametric to read.

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @KvN
    Unfortunately I do not have any info of the “minor” incident report.
    I can tell you the front is very clean tho and it is fully PPF’d. I can’t tell you if the paint was ever done bc it looks matching on fenders, hood and bumper.

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @marcromano yea I know about the plate. Whomever drilled that in should be … dealt with. Lol. But I don’t Wanna hide it, it’s on there. I can remove if need be but front plates are required in our state.

  • AJsGarage (seller) 2 yearsago

    @doboy017. We surely can. It’s at my shop in St. Louis Park called Eurocharged Minneapolis. Call in and we can schedule a time for next week.

    This is a beautiful porsche but.....whoever took the photos should have removed the front license plate. It's an eyesore. Some get it and some don't.

  • KvN (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

    @pcar you are misrepresenting this sale. The Carfax is NOT clean.

    It has been provided by the Seller in the uploaded photos.

    @AJsGarage can you kindly offer information as to the minor damage report to the front, if available?

    Thanks.
