The 997-generation Porsche 911 Turbo was introduced for the 2007 model year featuring the venerable Mezger flat-six engine paired with new Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) turbochargers. This launch-year example comes finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Black full leather interior with a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel and heated and adaptive front Sport Seats. It was also optioned with ceramic brakes (PCCB), the Sport Chrono Package, and a 6-speed manual transmission. Driven only on occasion for the past several years, this Turbo Coupe is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Massachusetts showing approximately 34k miles on the odometer.

The 997 Turbo includes wider bodywork than the standard Carrera model and features integrated side air intakes, unique bumpers, and a speed-activated spoiler wing. This Turbo Coupe is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and rides on a set of 19" aftermarket wheels dressed in Bridgestone Potenza tires. The seller adds that a set of factory 18" Turbo wheels will accompany the sale with new Pirelli tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin is upholstered in Black full leather and features optional heated Adaptive Sport Seats, a 3-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, metal door sills with model insignias, and a leather rear center console. A Bose Surround Sound System comes fitted as standard. All gauges and accessories are reported to be working properly.

This Turbo is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine that produces up to 480 HP and drives all four wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in less than 4 seconds with a top speed of over 190 MPH. The optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) provide excellent fade-resistant stopping power while saving 37 lbs. compared to the standard braking system. The optional Sport Chrono Package also enables a temporary period of overboost for increased peak torque.

This sale will include a clean title, car cover, and owner’s manuals.

The seller would like you to know:  "I have owned this car for about 3 years, purchased with about 30k miles. It was stored in a climate-controlled garage under the previous owner and as always serviced and maintained by local expert Porche dealers or specialty mechanics. The car has aftermarket wheels on it at the moment for personal preference. However, the factory Turbo wheels are in excellent condition and ready to go with brand-new Pirelli tires. The very low miles reflect the limited use over the past 8 years and the previous owner's occasional use, it was one of 3 of his cars."

    @cgolseth OK I'll confirm,

  • smemdl (seller) 9 monthsago

@luis.seneriz yes true dealer told me wheels are very valuable, and WHT I hung onto them

  • smemdl (seller) 9 monthsago

@JW17 no, never used. Acquired as part of purchase from previous owner who also never used

  • JW17 9 monthsago

If you zoom in on picture 121 of the extra wheels, the sticker says “01 911” and I believe “4S”. Also, they have winter tires on them which indicates they were Intended to be a winter tire/wheel package . Were they every used/installed on 997 listed?

The extra wheels are definitely 996. These are 18 inch wheels. Now the bonus could be if the wheels are turbo hollows which make them extremely lightweight. I have turbo hollows on my 99, and on my 996 tt. If the wheels are turbo hollows they are worth some pretty good money.

  • cgolseth (registered bidder) 9 monthsago

@gjgcact those extras are NOT the stock 997 wheels, rather 996 I believe

@Blamb411 Thank you for your observation, car amazing. Brakes are great, not sure of interim maintenance, there is no need

  • smemdl (seller) 9 monthsago

@gremlin Paint meter info sounds like a good thing to have, I'll look into that but as indicated paint t is flawless all over

  • smemdl (seller) 9 monthsago

@Userapatel Low miles 30k/17 years suggest corresponding ding low no input to carfax and then only if by dealer not sure private Porsche expert service would be recorded. I have no knowledge of coolant or cam service, this motor doesn't look like a major service was done

  • smemdl (seller) 9 monthsago

@Blamb411 Not aware about issue or service with hand brake, it works perfectly

  • smemdl (seller) 9 monthsago

@Blamb411 Service was ALWAYS at dealer or professional porches service resource. It seems paint meter analysis would be good to have, I'll see about that, however paint is flawless all over

  • smemdl (seller) 9 monthsago

@gjgcact Thanks for your tutorial regarding wheels, but my input was based on previous owner and audi, Porsche perspective. I am not aware of any damage underneath and will do what I can to explain your observation

  • smemdl (seller) 9 monthsago

I don't have life cycle records, but belive I can acquire

  • smemdl (seller) 9 monthsago

I'll need to check coolant line comment, im not aware of an issue. No paint work to my knowledge paint appears flawless all over. Not sure why u comment on tires and wheels, they are as shown and per my liking, I wouldn't call them winter tires. Not sure your observation regarding corrosion underneath is correct, I'll zoom in on that I can say this car was not driven on winter roads during the past 8 years. Perhaps one previous owner did but the low mileage suggests this is an unlikely impact

  • gremlin (registered bidder) 9 monthsago

any service records oil changes coolant lines done front lip is damaged any paint work or meter readings other wheels are not correct and they have winter tires on them under carriage shows signs of corrosion from salt winter driving

  • gjgcact (registered bidder) 9 monthsago

Listing is a bit misleading. The “factory turbo wheels” that come with the car are not the 997.1 turbo wheels, they are twists off a different generation. (Or am I mistaken?) Listing also doesn’t note any of the damage in the undercarriage on the front end. It looks as if PPF may be present in front, but it is hard to tell what is PPF and what are scratches and damage. More detail is desired.

Beautiful car. GLWA. I owned a 2012 997.2 6-speed turbo coupe. These are beautiful cars and great fun to drive. It sounds like DME would be fairy clean, but I would like to see one. Also paint meter readings. I also would like to know if anyone has experience with service interval and cost of service on the PCCB brakes. Have they been done on this car? My 997.2 had PCCBs. They had incredible stopping power, but I never had to service them.

  • Userapatel (registered bidder) 9 monthsago

Odd there's not one service record on the Carfax except for putting air in a tire. Do they not do that in MA? With the low usage I will guess no but have the coolant lines been worked on or the possibly the cams? Really the only 2 major things to worry about on these cars. Also what's with the dots on the steering wheel?

  • gremlin (registered bidder) 9 monthsago

any service records on the car any paint meter readings

  • smemdl (seller) 9 monthsago
