The car was ordered with optional Sound Package Plus as well as exclusive instrument dials in Sand Beige. It has been cared for by the current owner for the past 5 years and is now being offered for auction out of California showing just over 80k miles on the odometer.

Finished in Carrara White, this Cayman has been modified with LED headlights, taillights, and fog lights. The brake calipers have been painted red and the factory 17” wheels received a custom white powder-coated finish. The car rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires dated from 2020 in front and 2017 in the rear, showing approximately 5mm and 2mm of tread respectively. Very minor rock chips are noted on the hood as well as a small dent on the passenger side rocker panel, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Sand Beige interior includes optional matching instrument dials and Sound Package Plus. Some minor scuff marks are noted on the interior panels and the seller reports all accessories to remain fully functional.

Rated at 245 HP and 201 lb.-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 2.7-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission. Oil and filter changes are said to have been completed every 5k miles and the spark plugs were reportedly changed at 65k miles under previous ownership.

This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.

    @WRENCH.56 hi, I have added a close up of the dashboard white on beige instruments. The car is in the garage and the glass cover reflection does not allow for a very clear photo. I hope this picture can do the instruments some justice and is clear enough for you. Thank you.

    @rvittori yes of course that is no problem I can accommodate the shipping company. Where are you located?

  • rvittori (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

    Are you willing to assist with shipping this car? I will need a shipper/agent to pick up the car for me. They will do all the work but you need to be willing accommodate them.

    @WRENCH.56 yes the instruments are easily read, I apologize the photos of the instruments are a little blurry I will attempt to get a better picture tomorrow and post it. Thanks, let me know if you have any further questions.

    @2mAn hello,
    Yes I do have the original tail lights and will come with the sale of the car as well. The wheels are not plastic dipped they have been powder coated to match the color of the car. I have not done any major mechanical alterations to the car just it’s standard oil change at every 5k miles and fluid check, and do not have records of this. The dent on the pass side I was told was debris on side of the road that was not avoidable. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thank you.

    Base car/ Race car, and a very nice one at that!
    I am now 78 years old and, although in great physical condition, am experiencing some minor vision problems. Are the white on beige instruments easily read? In the photos they look almost illegible.

  • 2mAn (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

    Correction, looks like 2 years of ownership. How did that damage happen on the pass side?

  • 2mAn (registered bidder) 1 year, 5 monthsago

    @sammym21 hello. Do you have the original taillights still? Were the wheels plastidipped or how were they painted white? Any service records or receipts of your maintenance work over the 5 years of ownership?

    @EQM Hi Ed, great questions.
    My car has the M97 engine, it’s the 2.7 flat 6 engine. The IMS bearing issue was “fixed” mid 2005 production with an upgraded bearing and my cayman started production in October in 2006. It was more an issue in the 2005 and older model version Porsches. In most accounts failure is less than 1% in the later versions. Regarding the clutch it is the original clutch and there are no concerns or issues. The car has not been driven hard or seen any track days. It’s been a summer sunday car that has been babied most of its life. I am in Santa Clarita, Ca, and available for a pre-inspection. Thank you.

    Hi,
    Do you know if your car has the M96 or M97 engine? Also, have you had the IMS bearing upgrade performed on this? Last, does your car have the original clutch or has it been replaced? If it was replaced, how many miles is on the clutch?
    Thanks,
    Ed

    Hi All!
    This is a good looking car that I get tons of compliments in. I’m sad to see this one go but as my family grows I have to let it go. I would like it to go to an enthusiast as myself. Please reach out with any questions you may have, I’d be happy to answer them all. I live in Santa Clarita California and would be willing to help with shipping within the state of California. Please reach out with questions regarding shipping. Thank you.
